Alex, Linda Ronstadt could sing anything and be great at it. She could tear your heart out with a ballad or rock with the best of them. She's got Parkinsons now so she had to stop singing. She has had a magnificent career though.

Thanks. I'll look for that. I've always liked her music. Not everyone does. Some of the things that other guys here like aren't my cup of tea. That's the beauty of music. There's something for everyone.

Marty Robbins was one of the greatest. Loved his music growing up. Still do. Thank goodness for stations like WSM and satellite radio.

I did not know that about that song. Very enlightening. As for Emmylou, I've loved her music for a long time. Her voice is one of fhe most pure I've ever heard. Her work with Dolly Parton and Linda Ronstadt is pure gold IMHO.

What a pair. Great musicians working together like this is a joy. Emmylou has done songs with so many different artists over the years.

How about Chet and Emmylou Harris.

Here is a combination that most people wouldn't think of, Mark Knopfler and Chet Atkins. They admired each other as musicians and they were great friends as well.

That young lady is terrific. I remember hearing her with Bill Cody on WSM one morning. That's one of the things I like about them. They'll introduce new artists as well as bring back the all time greats.

Oh man now there is a group of guys for you. They came to Florence back in 2011, Jimmy Ibbotson wasn't with them anymore but man they could play. One of my all time favorites.

He's got it going on right now. He's as good as they come. I know Hank Jr. Is very impressed with him. He had him on his latest album. Hank can work with anyone he wants so that says a lot.

I really like their music. The really do work well together. Karen Fairchild has a sister that sings pretty good Made a little noise a few years ago but never really took off.

Fourteen years ago today we lost Waylon Jennings. He had so many great songs. This is among the best of them. It is a favorite of mine to be sure.
