Again you state he didn't concede, yet ABC has an article stating he did. I simply posted it. If you disagree with their article call them and complain.

So he “conceded” on … Jan 7th, presumably while a demolition team was tearing downing the gallows.

Pioneered a whole new approach to the peaceful transfer of power.

He did trash McCain in retaliation for McCain siding with Democrats on Mexico. Bad look and inexcusable.

Trump did quite a bit for vets. Hard to believe you said that. Yes, Google is your friend and I suggest you learn to use it.

That simply isn’t right.  His first attack of McCain was in an interview he did in June of 2015 (just a month after he announced he was running).  This from a guy that got out of serving because he had…. flat feet.

He's not a war hero, he's a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren't captured, okay? I hate to tell you.

But today, as I plant my feet firmly in this great states sand, I am proud to be a veteran and proud to honor the Red, White, and Blue.

And you should be. Thank you your sacrifice and service. The disagreement is simply over the word “freedom” and should the state be limiting local municipalities on their right to express free speech on public structures. Even if we don’t like what they’re saying.

    Freedom is…. complicated.

It’s not different because he’s a democrat. It’s different for the reasons I stated. FWIW, I’m not a democrat.

It’s always a thing of wonder watching people trying to rationalize/equate Trump to anyone or anything close to sane.

Perhaps I do struggle with what their sentence should be.

My 2 cents -  don’t struggle. Theyre lucky they weren’t convicted for treason. Last somebody forcibly penetrated the capital was the British in 1812.

Does being a marine general automatically put you above reproach?  Especially 5 years after the incident?  Why didn’t he resign right after Trump said it if he is so off put by the remarks.  Would that not be the honorable thing to do?

So you trust a man who way down deep you know lies every 4 minutes more than you trust a marine general and other sources?

In the next life you 2 need to get married.

I understand why Pride organizers or the group planning to illuminate colors for cancer, etc. might be initially upset. But one would hope that you could set your pride aside (pardon the pun) for the good of the country. I think we sometimes forget why we have freedom.

I’ve criticized many pride matches as non productive and “look at me” stunts. Again, they ain’t the Selma march. But localness is… localness. And Key West isn’t Ocala. IMO Desantis is fighting the right fight on the border mess - and Fla is/has been directly impacted by it. For 50 years. Maybe more than any other state. That matters.

IMO the bridge lights stuff is trivial, silly, and ironically - unamerican. To moderates like me - it makes him look… small.

The original story from the Atlantic was four anonymous sources.  Why would that leftist rag print something from people that would not stand by their word?  That is a problem with today’s reporting.  John Kelly has an axe to grind and he, along with Stormy, are about the same type of personality.

A decorated marine general sworn to honor is equated with stormy. Dear lord.

Without Red, White, and Blue no other colors would be possible. It's our freedom. It concerns me that people in this country try to place trivial matters above that.

I get that. Especially on Memorial Day But when you start mandating how to do that don’t you start diminishing freedom?

People are all about individual rights. Until they don’t agree with what someone else is doing.

Anyway, I understand your pov. Thxs

Do you not understand what the Red, White, and Blue provides?

I don’t mean to jump in and I understand your point. But do you feel that mandating by law patriotic colors is actually patriotic, per the founding fathers? To me it feels like China and Russia stuff.

On some issues I agree with Desantis. But to me this is waaay waaay over the top.

He did call McCain a loser for getting captured.  I don’t deny that.  The other you are asking us to believe four anonymous sources during an election process and the incident happened two years prior?  Oh, do you still believe Russian paid bounties to Taliban fighters to kill American? That was on ole’ lying Biden too during the campaign.

Not anonymous. John Kelly, a Marine General, confirmed the story publicly. You and I have a very different definition of debunked

Well, let's make it secure and then implement it. I don't know how though. Signature verification is a joke and even that isn't enforced.  Today's process is insecure and everyone knows it.  Don't complain when people don't trust elections when they aren't trustworthy by design.

I just complain when people go conspiracy nuts only if they lose. Didn’t see maga types storm the capital when Hillary unexpectedly lost. Same types on the game threads whining that the refs, espn, God knows who are out to get us.

And yet, nothing in your post explaining how the process is secure. That's because even Jimmy Carter was telling 3rd world South American countries that they had to get rid of mail-in balloting to have secure elections.  Lefties like Homer are fine with awful practices like ballot harvesting solely because it helps the left win. This is how democracies actually die.

That was over 40 years ago. I think with single parents with kids, people working and doing last min traveling - the process should be easier and more available with current tech. Voting in person and waiting in line favors those with who control their schedule, retired, or don’t have much else to do. I know I’ve had to do a last min trip and missed being able to vote.

I see your point about mail but in todays business and life environment I think there should be some fresh thinking about it.

I assume you’re asking why I think the Trump is headed back to the WH. He seems to be leading in most polls right now, including in most of the large states considered swing states. It’s still early.

I personally feel once the entire country starts focusing on the election and starts actually listening to what he’s saying - people will be reminded and he’ll crash in the polls. Could be wrong
