It is refreshing to see the players have a reason to step on the field and compete.  It is amazing that Cadillac was able to pick them up and inspire them it a very short time.  I for one, think he is doing real work and will make an outstanding coach at the highest level one day.  He absolutely gets what the kids need at this moment.  Any coach can hire a GM to do day to day operations, so I do think he will be ready sooner than later just not soon enough for us next season.  Cadillac is a humble legend that resonates with the players and you can never dismiss that as an emotional overreaction by kids.  We could do worse and have done.

I think Ashford was probably one of the players most upset by Harsin leaving and might not be all in tonight.  Just looks like he is going through the motions to me.  I could be wrong.

Well that was quick, Harsin gone!

Well the good news is that in certain areas, we can only go up.  I for one don't know enough about him to think this is a bad hire and plan to support our new administration as we find our way out of the wilderness.  Sounds like he is a very straightforward guy and will no doubt address the BH issue, hopefully sooner than later.

Since none of us have an opinion that counts towards anything more than message board popularity, in other words won't determine the next hire, I am still perplexed at some of the reasons some coaches are picked as not just candidates but must haves or all is lost.  No one can guarantee total success even with high level recruiting wins(FIsher).  I personally like Lane Kiffin and think he could do a great job at AU because he would have  more resources than at OM.  I also can admit when he went for the fake punt on his own 15 that my choice wavered a little.  My reasons for wanting him to coach at AU are simple, he runs an exciting offense and has proven himself to be a winner in the SEC west. He will need a very strong DC!  I am not saying others cannot be successful rather just saying he is the most proven candidate going by most standards . Freeze would also be a close second going by the same credentials.   Until Harsin is fired or let go or whatever you call sending someone off with $15 million dollars, and an AD is hired, do we truly know what names are even being considered?  

On this day alone, I have seen at least 15 contradictory posts on Cohen, hired not hired, hated not hated,  and Butch loves him, Butch hates him.  All I know is he was given a raise recently, has been there 7 years and might be Auburn's next AD.  I think I will reserve judgement until he actually takes office .

Has to be gone after this one, just didn't seem dialed into the game at all.   I personally knocked over 2 drinks after a couple of those calls!😀

The MS State AD just got a raise to 1.1 million dollars, sounds like they hated him for sure.😄 My next life I am going to be either  a Coach or an AD seems like easy money,  good job performance not strictly  necessary
