If the weakest part of the Arkansas defense is the secondary, then maybe that is why is possibly starting???

If Hartwell is in town and it is rumored that he is and we have been told a few times that we will know early next week, then I am going out on the proverbial limb and say it is probably Hartwell.   That is the logical assumption but who knows?

Just asking, but would he agree to that if he were seriously considering Auburn?

I am fine not knowing until I know.  I just want to know now. 😊   Seriously,  I hope we are just finalizing  and not still searching for an AD.   I hope this person has an insane amount of fortitude as well, there will be an incredible amount of pressure right from the start.

I know this won't be popular but I don't see the problem.  LK was asked if he would play if needed, he said "no".  There is no scenario for any coach to condone a healthy player with a scholarship and NIL to sit it out.  We have players playing injured all over the field right now, so no you cannot pander as a coach to the  "me" players.  Auburn needs more we than me right now.  Lk is a good receiver but if there are others playing better or running routes and blocking better then he still has to earn playing time .  I trust Hilliard knows what he is doing.   I am just as anxious as the rest for a new era at Auburn to begin but I would want the next coach to think about the team dynamics over one player as well.  I also think LK with the date he put in for the transfer is just waiting for the next coach to be named.

Pretty sure even Harsin doesn't think he should be here next season, it was a nice thought though and normally 3 years would be minimum when trying to build your own program but it just went badly very quickly and there is just no going back now.  

We can win 4, might win 3.  Depth is an issue, if we cannot play solid defense for 4 quarters we are in trouble in every game left on the schedule.

It has been implied in other places that he just wasn't getting it and not playing to his potential.  Is that a development problem or player problem?  Who knows?  Hope there are lots of portal players available for the upcoming season because good or bad he was depth and we are seriously lacking it.

It is okay to upgrade or modernize  some traditions but you don't have to obliterate them to reach players.   Auburn gameday is one of the best parts of our football program.  The Auburn Fight Song and the  crowd chanting War Eagle does not compare to that in any way, shape or form.   I have seen similar entrances  in high school games with piped music and it was fine for high school.   Maybe Jackson State needs a better fight song?   I don't begrudge anybody their personal music choices but I would leave it in the locker room with the players especially if this is a way to bond or relate to players.  Just my humble opinion

Must be a fluid situation because I am seeing(not knowing) Hartwell and Nunez with possible advice from Sankey which would make Freeze a very slim option, I would think.

You missed  G.  Langlo on your offensive line list.  Think he will be a Redshirt SO next year.

I don't think he ever had 100% support from some he would need to be successful but at the same time I also think it was just a very bad fit for all involved.  He could be a great coach(don't really think this now) somewhere else but I don't think that was ever a possibility here.    I have no hate for him and it looks like despite him leaving us soon, he is still doing his job as well as he ever has.  He could be much more petty and still walk away with 15 million.  I look forward to a change.

Kiffin was my preference out of the group, but I am fine with Grimes.  Heupel wasn't a glamourous choice for Tennessee but it seems to be the right choice.  I think being the right fit matters over a splash hire.

I am completely clueless!  My gut feeling is I will be completely surprised when our next head coach is named, not sure if good surprised or bad, but surprised.

Plain and simple, Tank wanted the ball.  I got no problems with that unless it messes with Robbie's decision making in whether to keep the ball or hand-off.  No need to make him think too hard about it and he scored so...
