It boggles my mind.  It's like they have no idea what they're doing.

That’s by far the worst part. It eats me alive. It is so mind-boggling. that is absolutely the worst part. I’m no football expert, and I can see it plain as day. These are supposedly gurus!  And it raining for goodness sake. Raining!  That ain’t gonna work....so frustrating.

  2. That 2010 guy is just having fun with you.  Rattling off the various Pop Warner classes, use of the term “accolades” in relation to said Pop Warner coaching experience, , chairman of son’s HS QB club? That’s actually pretty good stuff!!!   You guys are smarter than that!  He Googled the creed.....repeated it.

IT MUST BE SAID——-We have all seen offensive lines gel midseason at Auburn so while it seems REMARKABLY HIGHLY unlikely, statistically it is still possible. Solid blocking and we are a different team.

  3. I live in the same town as Golf. A couple years ago I saw this character at the Maitland Publix. All decked out in Auburn gear carrying a lumpy worn down brown paper sack with the words “For M. Ivey” on it.  Spoke to him for a few minutes and he mentioned this forum. Been reading it ever since.

I’m pretty sure it was Golf. Thirty-something, 6’3”, 185.  Full head of jet black hair. Lithe and willowy body like a male Brazilian professional dancer?  Same guy?

  4. Unless my eyes are deceiving me, it also appears that he comes equipped with a shiny metal uniform and metallic UMass helmet. That is wonderful news because imagine 10 Auburn Tigers in the Navy uniform, and one shiny metallic right tackle.  On first down,  after the snap he could move a little further to the right and shimmy a little bit and waive his metallic arms.  One or two of the 10 defenders stacking the box—-remember this is any first down—would be distracted. We would average a yard and a half versus the traditional yard.  Why has nobody mentioned this?

  5. Earlier in this thread someone mentioned that we need to go after another GT that is 5 ‘ 10” and 185. I’m glad we got the bigger feller. Even stretching that shorter feller with Andy Griffiths body-stretching machine, and a year of Aunt Bea’s fried chicken and biscuits, it would be hard to turn him into an SEC OL.  If you  figure Andy’s neck-stretcher gives him 4 inches, conservatively, and 30 pounds added by Aunt Bea’s cooking, that makes him 6’2” and 215. He’ll get pushed backwards like Braden Smith versus UCF.  Plus who wants to be in that contraption in a lonely closet while their friends are out having fun?  Driscoll is already full-sized!

  6. I think Sean White has been belly up to what I imagine is an athletics-table of never ending fried chicken,  mashed potatoes and cornbread with tubs of butter.  Just without the workouts like everyone else since he was injured. Good for him.

OR, based on rising to competition with Stidham, all 21 pounds went to his right arm, and he looks like Popeye.

In all seriousness, in my experience watching college football religiously for 30 years, I would estimate that somewhere around 90% of the time when a very good team loses a starter to injury and  they are forced to trot out the understudy, they fade fast.  In fact when a backup continues to win it is so rare that the football world takes notes.  If Stidham is starter and he should be based solely on ability (I love SW but you play the best player) there is a very good chance that he will get dinged up.  It's a brutal sport .  Having White to plug in is going to be great.

ITS GOING TO BE A GREATER-THAN -NORMAL YEAR TO BE AN AUBURN TIGER!!

Image result for barney fife getting taller

If I remember correctly they had Barney eat Aunt Bea's fried chicken and mash potatoes.  One of the  great all time Andy Griffith Show quotes:  Andy : "Barney, what do you weigh?"    Barney "Oh--138, 138 and a half---it fluctuates"
