Auburn is up 1-0 in the top of the fifth in Game 2.
Packer is having a night! In the first game she hit for a single, double, and a triple. She finally got the HR for the lone score in the 2nd game.
Update....Penta and Packer are the reason we're still alive. Penta had 21 strikeouts and Packer scored both of our runs.

Is the tournament in a rain delay now? I only see one partial score on ESPN, and it's for the 10 AM game.
LSU just beat UT 2-1

Also, does anyone know if Lisenby is still on the team?

I didn't see all of the game, but I did see alot more heart and enthusiasm than I've seen in awhile. I don't know if it was because of all of the energy from the crowd, but it was reminiscent of seasons past.

Kendal will be playing at UGA.

Akasha and Kendal are both not on the roster anymore.
I loosely follow volleyball, but aren't these significant losses?

Lech - as slow as she is - bunting with 0 outs and nobody on base
I was so confused by that

I don't know if its because of the coaching staff or loss of morale, but they just seem to be going through the motions on the field. Absolutely no life or energy. Some of the girls even look defeated when approaching the plate.

As usual, we had several occasions with runners in scoring position but could not get the elusive "timely hit" we are famous for.
At one point in the game, they mentioned that we left 9 or 10 players on base.

We beat UK 4-1 tonight. Good night for Lowe and Packer.
Lowe pitched a complete game and went well over her normal pitch count.
Packer had 2 of our 3 hits, including a HR.

According to Mike G., Jay Fair is now in the portal.

I was very concerned about how we would look without Honesty next year. This helps out alot. Hoping that CJH can get s few more gems in the portal.

Good. Now let's build around her and get some size.

There are also built in advantages at Auburn that have to be taken advantage of at some point.
just curious, what are these advantages?

women softball playing well.
You think so?

I recall seeing Mike G, from the War Rapport, say something along the lines of getting CJH the support/resources that she needs to be successful. I don't know if he was alluding to financial resources, facility upgrades, or whatever.
I do hope that she can really pull in some playmakers from the portal. If not, I don't see us making any improvements next year.

I know that Penta had just thrown 4 straight balls to walk a batter, but he pulled her way to early. You could tell that she was frustrated by that.
I hear the commentators for 3 straight weeks talk about the relationships that the other teams have with their coaches. Then I look at our team and see Dean's interviews and there's a clear disconnect there.

I do not understand this exchange. Who is saying what to whom? Maybe it's an age thing. I don't tweet or Tick-Tock or whatever.
Aubrie is replying to Bri's post with the caption about Leach, "I'd be mad if I had to replace me too"

too many base running mistakes; fundamentals plus talent equals WINS
We had at least 3 base running mistakes that turned into outs in the 2nd game yesterday.
I really hope that this is Dean's last year.

Congrats to Penta and Packer!
Penta tied Carlson for most wins in program history.
Packer is now 2nd in career stolen bases. She's also tied for 2nd in triples.

I agree. I know it's highly unlikely that we beat them two times, but I'm proud of the grit that the ladies showed yesterday.
