What's the deal with the spring game not being televised? Is there anywhere to watch it other than being there?

The same reason someone would leave Texas Tech and go to TX, or leave Missouri and go to Duke. If one of the big schools calls he will go.

What happened depends on which team he is coaching. When he was at A&M he was an awful person. Now that he's here, he is a stand-up guy. That's the way it works in the college football world.

If Riddick commits to AU it won't be over. Bama will continue to recruit him. 

Someone said he was suspended indefinitely.

A good coach is born, not made. If he's good he is ready. Going to a smaller job won't make him ready. It will only reveal if he was ready to begin with.

It would be unprecedented to hire a coach from an FCS school who has been a head coach for 3 years.

So Chizik’s staff got 6 in 4 classes.

Gus’ staff got 11 in 8 classes.

How many 5 stars has Harsin’s staff signed/committed in 1 year and 9 months?

The situation in 2008 and 2012 were similarly bleak as they are now, yet those HCs and staffs, who have both been ripped to shreds over the years, still managed to recruit well.

If AU doesn't sign a top 100 player this year it will be 2 years in a row of not signing even 1 player on the top 100. I doubt that has ever happened since recruiting rankings started.

I was saying it would have been better to hire Steele than Harsin. Both would end up getting fired but the cupboard would be much less bare with Steele.

What is the projection on where AU will end up in the 247 rankings? Top 20?

Adapting only works if you have the players. Going from McElroy to Tua, Jones, and Young was bigger than a change in philosophy so it goes back to recruiting.

Georgia/Bama aren't on Cobb's offer list on 247. English was injured. I think he was offered by both but not prioritized as much as some. That may change after this season. He may be locked in but if those or others come after him hard you don't know if he will reconsider. Georgia is in on at least one 5 star, Bama got the no 1 Juco wr(which is good since it is one less wr spot). So, we'll see.

I read where both liked English but had other players prioritized. Georgia is after at least one 5 star. Bama signed a big wr class last year, so they can only take a few. The problem is that if those schools don't get the ones they wanted more and come back to English...will he reconsider? Getting a commitment is just the first step. 

30th ranked player nationally from Phenix City commits to Georgia. 

The QB from Birmingham committed to Clemson. This is the type of player AU has to get. A top 100 state player where Bama isn't one of the schools.
