Very few places. I think we are seeing a lot of "the grass always looks greener across the fence" in this transfer mess. I read that over 2,000 basketball players entered the transfer portal this current cycle. That's just crazy.
I like what Dan Hurley said, "if you get a kid who has changed schools every year since the 9th grade, there are usually some underlying character issues there".

I wish people would quit sh---in on the kid before he has even played a minute in an Auburn uniform. Give him a chance.

Time to Clean House on the bullpen. This is atrocious!
If we had any semblance of a bullpen, we would have swept those punks.

Alabama is terrible. They must have gotten a ton of good breaks and fortune go their way this year.

How many of their batters have we hit as we just got another one 🤦♂️
Seems like a lot of batters are leaning and diving into pitches trying to get hit nowadays. You see it at the lower levels too.

It seems like no game in any sport comes easy for us vs. the turds.
It seems that way. But we did pop them pretty good at Neville in basketball. Overall, we have actually done ok vs them this year. Lost in football, split in men's and women's basketball, took 2 of 3 in softball, and took at least 2 in baseball. And we are really an eyelash away from being 5-0 against them so far in the major men's sports.

I do. In innings 7, 8 and 9
4 hit batters
2 wild pitches
2 walks
1 untimely error
Bammer is a fraud, they don't deserve to go to the NCAA tournament. I don't care what the stupid rpi says.

Not sure about that…..but up there
Would have been like blowing a 41-7 lead late in the 3rd quarter in football.

Ballgame! Auburn pulls it out and wins the series. Geez
The way we let them come back took a lot of the joy away.

Only Auburn can make a 12-2 game exciting
This would be worse than 4th and 31 if we pissed this one away.

I say let’s sweep their azz to bammerham
Amen! Every game we beat them damages their NCAA tournament hopes. A sweep would probably knock them out.

Wish we could find us another Clint Myers. Minus the baggage, of course.

64 teams are selected for the tournament. They show 63 team's reaction to their team being announced. When Auburn is announced, they show a blank. What the devil?
Wow, I didn't know that! Didn't watch the selection show on live TV.

And this ^^^^^ is why I’m the way I am about the turdz
As great as Saban was, they didn't deserve to get a chance in at least half their championships he won. And their basketball team basically had the Final Four gift wrapped for them this year. It's obvious the system is rigged in favor of certain teams.

Softball is growing in fan interest. Best to make a big time hire and build it!!
It doesn't matter with a full turnover since the hosts are predetermined prior to playing the season due to crowd turnout. :: ahem Bama ::
bama gets the most favorable draw possible by the committee. All sports. Every... Single....Time.

The war chest I was informed of eclipses what Dean makes and gets into the Mike White stratosphere. It will be somebody proven, likely coaches in OKC every year...No promos from within. This is a 2-way street...We have to pursue and they have to be willing to leave a program that they've molded into a successful, perennial competitor nationally, including their incoming recruits. NLIs can be broken, existing players can be excused unofficially (ref Trisha Ford and Mike White) to make room for players/recruits from their previous programs. This is about to be very exciting for the fan base, but brutal on the players that stick around.
I sure hope so! No time for a retread, or an internal promotion here. I've always thought it was foolish to promote from within when the program was failing, regardless of the sport. We need a complete reboot.

We could end the season with some momentum if we win tomorrow and take at least 2 from the turds next week. Would be nice to put their NCAA tournament hopes in peril.

Mathematically eliminated now. But in reality, this team was pretty much eliminated 5 or 6 weeks ago.

Johnson pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges in December 2022 for simple assault and strangulation, stemming from a September 5th incident in the same year where he struck a woman multiple times, causing bruising, and forcing her head into a bed, making it difficult for her to breathe. Johnson was suspended from the Pitt Men's basketball team during this period, but was reinstated after pleading guilty. Johnson was sentenced to a year of probation and required to complete batterer's intervention. Johnson took a redshirt in the 2022–23 season as a result. Subsequently, the university announced in August 2023 that Johnson was no longer enrolled. Shortly after, Johnson matriculated at Clarendon College, a community college in Texas.
Sounds like he might would fit in perfectly playing for Oats at bammer.

Absolutely pathetic. Staff should return their paychecks
Yep, can't even hold a late 5 run lead versus by far the overall worst program in the SEC. Mizzou is the Vandy football of SEC baseball.

Just another overall sh--y year in Auburn sports. Men's basketball had a good season, and women's basketball was improved and showed progress. Football and baseball were an abomination though.

So I had to do the same thing as you, and start a new post. But lastly, about the schedule part. Again, not arguing about how UAT had the tougher schedule, that’s a fact. What I am saying is that their schedule gave them no advantage during the regular season. They did the exact same thing Auburn did, and you continue to disregard that Auburn was only had two double digit losses the whole season while UAT had like 5-6. So yes, I believe losses need to have context. That context says to me that UAT was inconsistent the whole year and only did well in the tournament due to the fact that they didn’t have to play a formidable foe until UCONN. Anybody who watched basketball knew UNC was overrated, had been all year. And that’s another thing, you are not acknowledging that UAT had one of the easiest paths ever to the final 4, another fact. And that’s why it’s frustrating for me to discuss about what constitutes success in basketball. It was only successful for UAT because of their Final 4 run that’s it. Like I said before, if they flamed out like Auburn did in the first round it was a pretty mediocre year for them given the talent they had. I mean, in 2014 I believe Syracuse was a mediocre team that went to the Final 4. Would you consider them a great team and a success? No. They just got hot for 4 games, it doesn’t just magically erase all of the other games they played during the year. So yea, I believe UAT is getting way to much credit for their success in the tournament and people are overvaluing their roster due to that success.
Exactly! The path they went through to make the Final Four was basically a joke. Three of the teams (Kansas, UNC, and Kentucky) we beat in our run in 2019 were significantly better than the overrated UNC team they beat. The other 3 teams they beat to make it- Charleston, Grand Canyon, and a Clemson team that lost, what, 13 games?

Looks like the end of the Dean era. Oh well, I'm ready for the big reset anyway. We do NOT need to promote from within- program is very stale, and is in sore need of new blood.
