Everyone minus Kirbs is 180 degrees different than Saban.

Norvell is a great playcaller. Recruits well. Has an easy 4M buyout.

Didn’t say he is their best choice. Just their most logical at this very moment.

    Nobody's saying it...but most logical is Petrino : )

  2. They'll end up with Petrino

He's the Bama version of Hugh Freeze. Seems like the type of fella that wouldnt mind being the sacrificial lamb on the heals of Saban...for the right price. And he'd like the recognition of Alabama head coach over Arky OC. (and he's done decent enough as a coach that Bama could sell it)

  3. I still use rabbit ears to watch CBS games (aka free tv). That’s the one thing that stinks about this….gotta pay for the game on ESPN. Hopefully ABC shows a good many SEC games for us frugal types.

  4. Most kids want to play out of the gate, so if our offense is terrible because of the jimmy and joes then these recruits know they’ll have a legit chance to play their first year. You don’t have to have a good offense (or defense) to convince kids to come to the school…you need a coach who can convince the kid they’ll get to play.

  5. Y’all should watch what he did on the Fox pregame show. A true showman.

They asked how the end of the game hand shake would go…he took off his hat and sun glasses and just stared into the camera….amazing.

And right before he left their stage he turned around and faced the crowed and shouted…”they talk about my momma, that makes it?” And the crowd shouted “personal!”…they talk about my upbringing, that makes it? (Personal!)…they talk about…you get the drift. Probably did it 5-6 times over. The crowd was so loud yelling “personal” back at him.

I’d do a lot of things differently in my on life, but you can’t deny he knows how to garner a following. Impressive.

(I’ll be in interested how the tune potentially changes after the first loss, next 2 games are going to be tough)

Sure it does. Extra room, food, equipment, etc.

Again, Hunter added is not going to change Cal’s gameplan. From Cal’s vantage point, he merely is another fresh back they have to tackle. Hunter/Alston not= Bo Jackson/The Lizard.

The Lizard! aka Markeith Cooper? The good ole scatback days 😉

Battie strikes me as more situational than as an every down back. I feel really good about Cobb & Alston, and frankly, Sean Jackson intrigues me. Reminds me a bit of Pettway.

Sean Jackson - had the same feeling as I was watching, like Pettway. I feel think he didn’t get too many touches last year, but had more in 2021 with decent runs. I also thought that he looked twice as big since 2021. Either way he’s likely 4th or lower on the depth chart, but go HTHS Huskies! And War Eagle.

  8. I dont know what Tank/AU should do....but the fact that this is something to think about in college ball (NIL$ vs NFL$) is kinda crazy. Interesting times we live in : )

    ...and War Eagle.

There are a certain few that I simply don't want at Auburn. Dabo and Urban Crier are two of them.

Dont worry....when they're wining and crying for your team it comes across different. It's more standing up for the team and supporting the players ; )
