Ehh they lost to Indiana on a 5-game losing streak and also to Troy and UTSA. Not sure about that.
WKU has the ability to score points; AU not so much. The Hilltoppers have kinda hit the skids the past couple of weeks but did beat UAB this weekend. I live in Bowling Green and life will be pretty miserable if we lose that game. WKU is desperate to beat a Power 5 team on the road....it could be/may likely be us. We'll need to surpass 30 points in that game; I was surprised that we did that against Ole Miss but not sure can call the plays to make it happen again.

I don't think we win another with the current staff. I hope I'm wrong...

I'm OK with this. Gives me time to vent my frustrations over the game and be able to sleep that night. Otherwise, I'm still cursing the bone-headed coaching calls and turnovers to go directly to bed and sleep.

It’s a shame that incompetence cannot be considered as “cause” for termination. CBH is the football equivalent of Tony Barbee….let’s hope the next guy is football’s Bruce Pearl!!

UAT will win by 17+.....and that makes me sick to say that!!

That whole contract fiasco leading up to the 2017 SECCG really soured me on Gus and that was even before he lost the game. Combine that loss with the bowl game loss and Auburn looked foolish for working on a cntract extension during the season. Gus should have been told to check back in January to discuss a contract extension and pay raise. The whole fear that he was going to bolt to Arkansas was complete nonsense and cost us dearly.
Agreed. But it takes 2 parties in a negotiation. The AU president should have told him and Jimmy Sexton to pound sand. AU was a party to the circus by participating.

Have only seen it one time…
Were you around in 1994? LSU? Curley kept throwing to an AU team where the offense could not get out of its own way that day!

Deion desperately wants to be HC at FSU. Any school that hires him will lose him if/when that job comes open. Wouldn't mind seeing someone with his enthusiasm and knowledge at AU though!

Some of the players should know enough about game decision making to recognize the 4th and 1 call went against what 99% of coaches do in that situation.
I didn't disagree going for it as much as the play call. We were getting ZERO push all game long....an RPO....QB sneek....anything other than dive up the middle. It looked to me like Tank wanted to leap the pile but there was too much penetration so he had to try to force his way.

They'll play right into our strengths then. Will they be able to keep up with our high octane offense?
🤣 WKU scored 73 today....FIU scored 0. Lots gonna have to change to win 4 games this season!

Who led Indiana 24-13 after 3 quarters and lost in OT. If they get up 11 on us in the 2nd half, we’re not coming back…on anyone.
I live in Bowling Green, KY. WKU can score points; they have trouble on defense and special teams. We'll need to break 30 to win that game. If we don't beat Missou, I doubt we beat WKU and CBH may have already won his last game as AU's head coach.

Is Calzada truly not healed from his injury? I kinda thought after 2 ints by TJ & RA that Zach may see some action. At this point, ZC may never see the field. Had that same feeling about Dee Davis after last year's finish; thought he could have helped in the Iron Bowl and bowl game but didn't even sniff the field. Understand keeping Holder out since he's a true freshman.

I like that our head coach has high expectations.
Agreed. A great defense would not have allowed 16 points to an FCS school. After the 1st int, a field goal attempt should have been the worse-case scenario. Too many 3rd and longs given up. After the 1st int, we were outscored 16-14. No turnovers the entire game, etc. etc. etc.

I was just happy to see that CBH pulled TJ after the 2nd INT. If he thinks TJ should start next week, that's OK too. Let the guys know that poor performance has consequences....

Dish Network tells me that ESPN Plus is no longer included with my subscription. I'll have to try SEC Network Plus. Got a feeling this will be a throwback game where I sit outside on the patio and listen to the (XM) radio.....

Part of me says AU performs best when little is expected....another part says this might projection be right. ☹️ CBH needs to step it up!!!

Better to hit the road than get bounced in 2 games while hosting a regional.....

Even some of the somewhat reasonable fans (if those truly exist, but these are graduates from there) have commented to me that UAT games have become boring. It's not exciting when the outcome is decided by halftime or before. UAT needs a couple of 7-6 years to make life fun for them again. Maybe stuff like this will make Nicky hang it up! I used to think if Emmert were to be fired (and deservedly so) that the Taters would get their due; but with NIL what they've been doing is now legal....they just have more practice at it than others.

This team is average away from their home court. Unless Auburn is hosting an NCAA regional (sarcasm).... we're toast.

This is excellent news! Auburn needs ZE more than ZE needs Auburn. Hoping for a lot of good news from the portal in the coming weeks!

I saw this morning that 48% of the players in the portal have NOT committed to a new school. If AU picks up some needed bodies from the portal, we could make some noise next year. If we continue to bleed players….not so much!!

UGA almost feels like they've peaked this year and are on the downward slide. We'll see when they play UTK. UF kept that game close too long and they are not a good team. Mizzou had 'em beat and let it get away.
