The Tigers stayed undefeated on day 2 of the All-Alabama Classic, taking down Jacksonville State 6-3 and Samford 5-0.

In the first game, Lauren Schmalz came in to pick up the win, going 5 innings and holding the Gamecocks scoreless after they scored 3 runs early.  With the score tied up at 3 in the top of the 7th, freshman Morgan Estell continued her hot streak by launching a 2 run homerun that proved to be the game winner.  Lauren Guzman followed with a solo shot to provide a little insurance as the Gamecocks went down 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 7th.

In game 2, senior Kyndall White belted a 2 run HR in the bottom of the first and the Tigers added 3 more in the 2nd, with Guzman delivering the big 2 run double to increase the lead to 4-0.  Amber Harrison lifted a sac fly to add 1 more.  Angel Bunner tossed a complete game 2 hitter for the win.

Pitcher Lauren Schmalz, catcher Elizabeth Eisterhold and CF Morgan Estell were named to the All-Tournament team and Morgan Estell was named the Tournament MVP.

The Tigers return to action Thursday, with the home opener against McNeese State at 5:00 pm at Jane B. Moore Field.  They will also host the Tiger Invitational this weekend, playing Friday at 12:30 and 3:00, Saturday at 12:30 and Sunday at 2:00.  This weekend's field includes Southern Mississippi, Campbell, McNeese State, Western Illinois and Western Carolina.
