Not being a smart azz but he "doesn't live his life that way" (worrying about what other people think - he controls what he can control and lets the chips fall where they may)... Besides, after being snubbed by his fellow coaches for SEC CoY in favor of a guy he beat twice, he didn't need any more insults to motivate him. I made my mind up a while back to not get bothered when I see people not connected to AU talk about low expectations this season. I mean, if any other school was facing what Auburn is facing with the loss of so many starters I would probably think the same thing about them. Although I agree you shouldn't live your life based on views from others, you must be aware of your competition's stance. This is what your fellow league coaches are saying. This is what they're telling recruits. You don't acknowledge the views of them publicly, but behind closed doors, you are very much aware of what's being said. Broke gentlemen's/SEC agreement in the process... = not voted SEC coach of the year & Cam not being voted SEC athlete of the year... I'm tired of the disrespect, and I sincerely hope this fuels the fire of our players, and they go out onto the field with a huge chip on their shoulder, looking to smach the disrespect out of our opponents. One thing I did notice is that Athlon Sports has annointed the mighty turds #1, so I guess they are busy printing up their "14th National Championship" crap that the bammers will selll their kids school lunch money to buy. We may be rebuilding this year (year #1)... But in 2012-2016 we will dominate the SEC and we will be a fixture in the MNC picture... He's very good about not giving people anything to use as motivation. If he even had a comment used I imagine it would be the one about Dyer. He's not dumb enough to give any type of bulletin board material. He and Chizik are very similar when it comes to discussing other teams, very political... now the media, that's a different story.
