He still will rank behind Alabama's Nick Saban, Texas A&M's Jimbo Fisher, Georgia's Kirby Smart and Auburn's Gus Malzahn in base salary among SEC coaches." When Gus' contract was extended, he should have been more around that 6 mil, than 6.8 he got. But we all know the kicker is the buyout. Interesting to see what Orgeron's buyout numbers are? One last thing on Gus. In his new contract, he has about 1.4 million that he can get in the way of bonuses(goals they reach), but he only received $125,000 in bonuses for 2018-19. He didn't reach most of his goals. Wonder what his bonus is for 2019-20? Don't remember if he got one for beating Alabama, but he didn't reach again, many of the major goals. Did they mention who his agent is? Whoever our next hire is, they should stipulate his agent be ABJS.

keesler 5,924
Orgeron went in that interview, laid out his plan and told Alleva/FKing what he should be paid as HC, he told them he'd take a raise if and when he delivered the hardware. He delivered big time and he earned that raise with a 15-0 record.
