Alabama state gets 3 infield singles to load the bases with 1 out. A single scores a run but Dyal is able to throw out the 2nd runner at home. Another single and Dyal is also able to throw out the runner at home. VERY lucky to get out of that with only 1 run and amazing work from Dyal to get two runners out at home. 1-0 Alabama State Rambusch, Moore, DiChiara are up for Auburn. We really need our starting pitchers to go some innings with 6 games this week. Copeland is already at 37 pitches and we have a mound visit. Copeland stays in the game but we do have pitchers warming up. Comes back and strikes out the next batter. Ground out to end the inning. Ware with a grounder to ss, throw to 2b and the fielder drops the ball, everyone is safe. Cam Hill with a double to score Howell! Ware is on 3rd! 1-1 tied, runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Slow grounder to 2B and Moore is safe with an infield single. Unfortunate for the Alabama State pitcher, he should have been out of the inning with a routine double play earlier and instead Auburn has batted around. Bases loaded 2 outs and Dyal up, would love for him to get a clutch hit here. Dyal comes up big with a 2 RBI single! Was hoping the starter could go longer than 2.1 innings but Copeland's night is done and Drabick is coming in to pitch in relief. This will be Drabick's first appearance for Auburn. A 3-1 walk and now runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out. Runner gets caught in a rundown, Foster tries to tag him and from the announcers it sounds like the runner ran around Foster out of the base path but the Umpires say he didn't run out of the base path. No video so there's no chance for review. Butch comes out to argue but nothing changes. Runners still on 1st and 2nd. Drabick's slider seems to be nasty and he strikes out the pitcher looking. Kid is just hitting insane. 13 hits and 10 of them are extra base hits. Dyal strikes out looking. Howell keeps hitting well, and gets a double. Ball landed right in the middle of the converging outfielders. Follows it with another strikeout looking. 4 pitch walk. Double and now runners on 2nd and 3rd. Wild pitch and Alabama State scores again. Walks coming back to bite us in the butt. 9-2 Auburn with a runner on 3rd and 2 out. Hits the next batter. Hill returns to the line up and has a 3-3 game so far with his 2nd single. Pitch low and Cam Hill gets an easy steal. Foster falls behind 0-2 but battles back for a walk. Runners on 1st and 2nd with 0 outs. 9 pitch AB but Wyandt strikes out again for the 3rd time tonight. Still sitting at 0 hits for the season. Rambusch infield fly for out 2.
