Cox's Sore Shoulder

I think that the kid threw 44 passes Saturday night. IF he had some problem resulting from injury or physical illness, I don't believe he could have thrown the ball like he did. Yes, he had a lot of picks, but it didn't seem to be because of whatever "problems" he may have had in the pre-season.

Am I totally wrong on this?

He had plenty of zip on his passes. I think that he was ok.

I saw no evidence during the game nor did I read any aritcles about him having a sore shoulder. This is a non-issue. WDE

I thought he played well. He had a few mistakes, which resulted in turnovers. On a good night, he will get away with those. Just look at FSU and Miami's QBs and be thankful. Too bad our wide receivers don't have 1 more year so that Cox will be fully developed.

He was sore last night from all the contact ( he took some major hits ) but his arm and shoulder were fine.

To me the issue was never the "sore arm". The issue was missing 1 1/2 weeks of practice. I think that was somewhat evident with timing with receivers ( early in the game) and defensive recognition (late in the game). Part of gaining experience is practice. BC missed some due to a sore arm and I think that showed up some during the game. That said I think he has a very good arm and can be very accurate.
