Out of curiousity, when was the last time UT lost two back-to-back SEC games?

182479[/snapback]

October 4, 2003 - :au: 28 :ut: 21

October 11, 2003 - :uga: 41 :ut: 14

They almost lost the next week to a 4-9 :ua: team in overtime.

Now that Tennessee has lost do we pull for them to knock LSU off or do we hope that LSU remains undefeated until we play them?

It seems to me that we would ALWAYS want an SEC west team to take a conference loss, especially when they are running along with us for the West lead. Kicking their butts when they have a loss already feels just as good as kicking their butts if they are undefeated. Why make it harder on ourselves?

This is not something where pride should enter in - this is the SEC and we want every aadvantage we can get, esp since we are playing in BR. And since we get zilcho respect in the polls anyway, it won't matter if they were undefeated for the last ten years - we still won't get any credit for a win, no matter their status. If they are undefeated and we win, "LSU was having a bad night and Auburn got lucky." If they have one or more losses and we win, "Auburn beat a weaker team". Either way, we get no respect.
