bird36 5
2009 will be the most important recruiting year in recent memory. It was difficult to get a great running back because we have a stud senior (Lester), Junior (Tate), and Sophomore (Fannin). We have 3 good sophomore offensive linemen next year, and being the 110th offense will not bring in great receivers. Also, It takes a full year for coaches recruit well (see saban) and the O and D coordinators are new. I think that Franklin will be good for both recruiting and performance (he does not need a top 10 offense, just a top 35 offense and we are successful.) With a year to get to know the kids and success on the field I expect to see some top receivers next year. With ED not coming and Lester graduating we have some room to add a top notch running back. Also, I have seen CTT come off of a fair recruiting year with a strong one. If we are having this conversation next year then yes, I will worry. I may even have to increase my drinking.
