Auburn Holds Final Practice Before NCAA Regional Starts

Recommended Posts

The Auburn baseball team  held its final workout on

Thursday morning prior to the start of the NCAA Auburn Regional on

Friday afternoon at Plainsman Park. The top-seeded team at the Auburn

Regional, Auburn was the first to practice and worked out for just over

an hour.

During the workout, the position players did infield/outfield work,

taking fly balls and grounders, and then took some swings in the cages

and on the field while the pitchers threw in the outfield and in the

bullpen.

Most encouraging during the workout was the presence of All-SEC

outfielders Brian Fletcher and Trent Mummey, both of which did work in

the outfield and took some BP swings.

The Auburn Regional begins on Friday at 2pm CT when No. 2 seed Clemson

plays No. 3 seed Southern Miss. The game between No. 1 seed Auburn and

No. 4 seed Jacksonville State begins at 6pm.

Less than 200 reserved seat all-session ticket books remain, and less

than 450 Terrace Area all-session tickets remain. All-session books

include tickets to all seven Regional games.
