around4ever 4,139 Posted April 21, 2018 Share Posted April 21, 2018 That was not a well played game. We walked too many, had too many errors and had some really bad at bats in extra innings. Hopefully the momentum will not carry into game 3. I'm sure we will see more of Haff with her rise and change. We have to be more disciplined at the plate and solid in the circle and defensively. Our batters swinging at pitches neck high and higher. The pitch Rivera struck out on was over her head. I'm not optimistic about this third game. Prove me wrong, girls. OlderWhiskey 953 Posted April 22, 2018 Share Posted April 22, 2018 So much seems to be psychological. The freshman Haff got rattled in the first game, started giving up walks, and got more rattled. Deifel pulled her before she totally lost her confidence. Auburn was scoring runs and their confidence soared. Deifel put in her third pitcher, and she was wild, too. After the second inning, the game's over, so Auburn can play loose. We couldn't hit Storms much today, creating a tight game. the errors killed us.
