  1. One thing I did not hear about that’s been our bugaboo for a few years, dropped passes. Sounds like that was not a thing during the spring game. That’s very encouraging. I have zero worries about the run game, none! I liked the look of the young and inexperienced defensive line and the hustle. My overall thoughts are encouraged but tempered. War 🦅! Happy summer!!!

  2. Funny how grown men get so easily offended. Just watched part of an interview with one of the coaches who was part of the craziness . Cam was talking trash and they got butthurt. Guess who won’t be invited to those 7v7 camps anymore?

  3. If I am not mistaken this is who CHF wanted last year but loopholes prevented it. So we had to settle for CPM which obviously didn’t work out. I think there will be a huge difference with our offensive production next season. This hire adds a couple of wins, IMO!

How much longer will Freezes past transgressions continue to be brought up? It's been close to 8 years. He is a human who is also a man of faith.  He is public with his faith which makes him an easy target to some. Many football coaches have past transgressions that arent aired because they aren't public with their faith.  I can only imagine the scandal if Dabo did something unscrupulous.  I would love to know what Jimbo was taking about when he went on his Saban rant.  But since Saban isn't public with his faith it wouldn't have the same effect. When u are public with your faith you can expect to have every aspect of your life nit picked. Tim Tebow is a perfect example.  Non believers as well as some believers will look for anything to criticize or try to point out hypocrisy.  It's just the way of the world.

It’s part of his history. It will be brought up just like CBP is. I don’t care anymore now that CHF is the HBC. I love Auburn, all of it, and as long as he runs a clean program, ala CGM,  continues to build this program into what we all want I support him. I did not want the hire because I believed his past would hinder the program and be used against us recruiting. I was wrong and glad I was! I’m not hoping that CHF fails and I don’t think any Auburn  family member does. Some are going to stay on the fence about him until we win a Natty and even then who knows? War Eagle and IGTBAAT

I wonder if it is an NIL issue ATM.  We had/have sooooo many needs across the team that there is just not enough to go around.   Top notch QB$ suck NIL away from the rest of the team (and other sports).   We can afford to go out and get a top notch QB,  but there may not be enough to go around to bring in top notch players at other positions, and we need/needed a lot!   We have been playing from behind the 8 ball with our talent gap.

We will have 4 scholarship QBs on the roster next season. Not sure of the star rankings but unless it is a sure fire home run I just think whatever monies we have would be better spent on more critical needs. JMHO

Even when thinking about the future you need the QB here now and that isn't PT, he won't be here. The QB stuff is more imperative than some think.

It's crazy to me to say we don't need a star at QB we just need somebody that's ok...... We don't have the talent and we're not going to be in a position any time soon to feel that way. That's the way teams have more talent than everybody else can think. That's bammer a few years ago, or USC when they were on their run, or Clemson a few years back. We're not and likely won't be in that position anytime soon.

Never said we need an OK QB, I said we don’t need a 5 * superstar type.
We have a really good QB for the 24’ class and we a will probably get 2 for 25’. It’s asinine to me to spend 2 mil to rent a QB who couldn’t start for the team he was with and to think he will automatically start here. PT is capable when he has weapons that can catch when thrown to them. Kinda logical don’t you think?

Maybe it was the level of competition, Maybe it was Hugh taking over the offense,  but Payton looked more than adequate from Miss State on.  The Iron Bowl was his worst game in that stretch and even that game he acted as a good game manager and made plays with his feet.

There is a whole other portal window that opens after spring practice.  Maybe if there’s an opportunity there you’ll see Auburn grab a Qb.  It would probably be someone to push Payton and more than likely vie for a backup role.

I don’t think we need a great 5* type QB. IF the current recruits on offense, along with our strong RB room lives up to their potential and the OLine improves, all we really need is a game manager type QB. I believe that PT is that with the ability to run when things break down.

I don’t know what percentage of his incompletion rate were du to drops but if we caught 2/3rds of those I think there is a different picture being painted of PT.

The “we need a QB from the portal “ hype is overblown IMO. OLine is decent and should improve  but we need depth and talent for the future.

I quoted his entire post, so you already have your facts wrong.

His narrative (or opinion) was that Freeze shouldn’t waste his time recruiting Williams…that he instead (again an opinion per the poster) that Freeze “insure we keep our current class together until signed next week and upgrading our other specific areas of need.”

The vast majority of our recruits are signing in December. Williams is signing in February. My opinion is that Freeze is not wasting time and resources recruiting the top in-state dog due to these two time periods (Dec & Feb) being weeks apart. Meanwhile he absolutely has time to keep our current class together and also focus on upgrading specific areas of need.

IF Williams was also signing in Dec, my opinion might be different, but he’s not signing in Dec.

Some of you really believe it’s one single man doing all the recruiting and he can’t possibly recruit anyone else while he’s focusing on one recruit. If there is one thing Freeze does well, it’s recruiting. His track record at Ole Miss is well-documented. This means he is well-versed in time management and can handle multiple recruits simultaneously quite well. It also means his staff is prepared to as well.

Your facepalming to a completely rational post without any explanation whatsoever is what is asinine, juvenile, irrational and unnecessary. At least have the sack to post something to a rational post, even when you have your facts wrong.

You only quoted the first line. Here is the post in its entirety

Viper, it was not advice. I stated it was my opinion. Just an opinion like everyone else is doing at times.
I am quite sure that neither you nor I are in a position to give Coach Freeze advice.

You should probably step away from this forum because you are pulling stuff out of no where

It’s okay for someone to have a difference in opinion from yours. It’s okay to believe strongly in what you say. It’s cool if you have a back and forth conversation.  But you have gone well beyond rational thinking and entered into the  narcissistic realm. Your response to a face palm emoji is projecting something out of nothing in itself then to deny what you posted when there is clearly a receipt is insane.
