Great pick up but Grimes wasn’t much of the recruiter on this one. But selling JBs coaching credentials should make it easier for some of the guys recruiting for him. Kind of like Porter and Woodson selling Browns cred
Next year should be a much easier sell for JB. The kids will get some recent film of his players to evaluate.

Hopefully we are recruiting McClendon harder then it appears because it looks like he might be the highest rated OT we still have a shot with

So Gus really does run a high school offense?
No doubt.

I remember us recruiting him in his senior season.
But man... In the entire highlight video I didn't see 1 crossing route or intermediate route at all. That manatee OC must suck.

I think most of the staff should be back on campus around the 17th.
I think a couple were checking into some humanitarian activities but not positive if they got them lined up or not. Also, I think some may have involved or was going to involve some players but not certain if those were officially organized or not.

I think he watched the LSU game.
Trust me I was as frustrated as anyone that day. I was fully off the bandwagon... took a while to get back on.

Kick me to the curb if you want, but IMO Nix probably runs a more sophisticated offense at Pinson than Malzahn's basic O.
Not kicking you to the curb but you're wrong.
All offenses look "basic" when you watch 10-12 games a year of the offense. They all have tendencies and base plays.
Ask any fan base and you'll find a complaint about play calling regardless of success. They want to run more, they want to pass more, they want deep passes, they want short passes, they want the TE involved, they want some trickeration, they want to over power the opponent...
We must have the most talented players in the world because our offensive numbers have been top 3ish in the conf just about all the years Gus has been here running his basic offense.

Can make any throw on the field and isn’t even a senior in high school yet. He can easily gain more size in his lower body and that will increase all strength measures for throwing a football. His mechanics are very good and being a coach’s son probably already understand defenses.
The greatest asset I look for is when it’s late in the game will my QB stand in the pocket on 3rd down and 12 facing a blitz step up into tgthe pocket and deliver a strike to the WR while a blitzing linebacker smacks him in his chops.

Watch Stidham this year that will be about what you can expect from Nix. Very similar which I think Nix is more accurate underneath but isn’t as accurate down the field as Stidham. That’s not a knock on Nix because Stidham throws one of the best deep balls I’ve ever seen.

Fields for running abilities Nix for passing abilities.
If Nix were 6-3 he’d be 5 star. 247 tries to project out college and pro. Which is silly. Nix will be a very solid if not all-sec/American type QB at AU.

He would report it if DH named Miss St. his leader to. Keith doesn't have a bias, not even to his alma mater Gators.
But he’s the AU beat guy tho isn’t he?

I guess it’s VIP but if KN is reporting it the leader must be AU. Would be a big get. Not a day one starter unless he puts on 20-30 before next fall but will be a great buck. He could play OLB as well. Nice problem to have being able to play multiple positions.

Dude’s a straight baller. Only concern is top end speed. Size, hands, body control all scream 5 star. Either way we have a fine WR headed our way

Bo has great mechanics. Gets great spin on the ball and has a much stronger arm then you could imagine. But the greatest quality I have seen is his competitiveness. When competing he wants to win.

I love the response to the last question. That shows me this kid has his head on straight. I hope he picks AU but he will be a great addition wherever he ends up!
That is one of Gus' favorite selling points... where do you want to go to school if you can't play football.

Very mature interview for Bo. Definitely could be the face of the program.

Savarese
Hate to quote myself but didn't coach Dye go after Savarese in the late 80's?

IDK. If Central stops making silly playoff mistakes they don't take a back seat to anyone.
What will Central be without Justyn Ross?
Any broadcast apps for the Southern Teams? I'd like to watch some McGill, Auburn, Central, Prattville games...
And what happened to Daphne over the years? Since Savarese left the area they went to pot... guess the "cheatin" he allowed them to get away with stopped

And in soccer terms, that's the group of death, or region of death in this case.
Agreed. Brutal Region... I'd venture to say the top 3 teams in the State are Hoover, Thompson and Trussville

I know. I was referring to a team on the North side of the bracket actually beating them in the playoffs. That's when it matters most.
I doubt it. Isn't Auburn High supposed to be pretty good from the south tho?
It will help HT in the long run playing the tougher competition as well to get them ready for the playoffs.
