48-6, Tigers. 🦅

I'll take my man Marcus Harris. He's looking pretty buff these days under S&C coach Studzinski so I'm expecting impressiveness this year.

I saw where Freeze said he might hire an OC to free himself up to be more involved with recruiting. Who would be someone he would turn to? any names out there?

Was just about to say the same thing.
It's more of a must win for Arkansas.
Lose to this dumpster fire we have, and it could be the beginning of the end for Pittman.
I would hate to be the coach that loses to this team. Instant hot seat.

Who exactly wanted this guy before we hired him?
That would be his hot tub buddy and ex Auburn super genius AD Alan Greene.

Obviously the optics look bad but the guys that are hitting the portal have had very little playing time to this point and thanks to the transfer portal they aren't stuck somewhere they don't want to be like they were in the old days. I hate it for them, for the team and for the fans but it is what it is. Welcome to modern CFB. Master the ever changing rules or get rekt and left behind.

If you can't nap during an Auburn game, are you even watching our offense?
Lol! Maybe even longer developing pass plays is the answer to our offensive problems.

I read somewhere that Rhule was 0-11 against ranked opponents while at Baylor so who knows. He had back to back winning seasons there before he bolted for the NFL. Maybe a little prematurely, idk.

OK, I'll bite ... name the "kind of offense" which works best with an OL that bypasses on-rushing DL with no more contact than a quick look-see?
I'm no expert that's for sure but offenses that get the ball out of the QB's hands quickly like Miss State and Coastal Carolina are designed to compensate for weaker OL's and neutralize a pass rush. Maybe that's out of their wheelhouse, idk.

Putting myself out there with this take, so feel free to razz me if I’m way off. But we’re going to play OM close Saturday and maybe even beat them.
Auburn is 35-10 all time against Ole Miss. We’ve beaten them 6 in a row. We seem to beat them even when they’re at their absolute best, like last year. Auburn just almost always beats OM, period.
They’re obviously a much better overall team than us this season. But the talent gap isn’t enormous. We’ll be the best defense they’ve played (I would think we’re better than Kentucky). Vandy put up big offensive numbers on them Saturday. And Kiffin’s analytics can blow a game fast.
If we do upset them, we’re likely stuck with Harsin until the end of the year. That completely destroys recruiting with the fact that 80% of kids sign on ENSD.
Had we canned him yesterday, we’d have 10 weeks to distance ourselves from Harsin before ENSD. We’d have guys like Cadillac or Zach (who have a good chance of being retained on the next staff, regardless of HC) promising that the next coach is going to be incredible, and that we’re moving on.
I just don’t understand our PTB. They wanted him gone in February. Why wait another day? Every hour that passes with CBH still at the helm is actively hurting the program.
I’ll never root against Auburn. But we’ll be in a real disastrous situation if we win Saturday.
If we beat Ole Miss it would put a fitting end to the Lane Train hype once for all, lol.

Not at all!!
In hindsight it appears that Hars and Kiesau have installed an offense without considering what kind of offense would work best with the talent we have.

We lost to georgia. We always lose to georgia. Sure we got beat down by georgia but that happens pretty regular also.
We are 6-17 against them since 2001. Hard to get people up in arms about something that happens so often. Just kind of expect it now.
Maybe a beat down by Ole Miss this weekend will move the needle more.
This. Without even looking up the records it feels like GA has owned us worse than Bama has over the same time span. LSU not quite as bad but these big three seems to have had our number for awhile. That was another reason Malzahn was sent packing.

Robby is not a P5 QB whatsoever yet but to be fair he is playing behind one of the worst offensive lines on planet Earth.
I'm thinking those two things aren't a winning combination.

lack of interest, enthusiasm, or concern."widespread apathy among students"Btw, I wouldn't be surprised if the boosters/PTB don't just sit back another year or two and watch this Harsin train wreck and bottoming out of Auburn FB just to teach you uppity know it all Allen Green loving booster hating fans a little lesson.

Are all the claims of "Deion is a great recruiter" based off anything quantifiable? I know of the one 4 or 5 star guy picking them but are there others? Has he pulled a lot of these guys every year or is this all just rumor and celeb hype talking?

I hope we find a way for me to be wrong on this but I've seen nothing to suggest this team is capable. It would take a complete offensive scheme change to more of a spread/pace/quick throws and RPO's offense.

10-9 Auburn.

What the story on Coastal Carolina's Jamey Chadwell? He's 45yo and gone 26-3 over the last 3 years with a prolific offense. He seems like the typical Auburn hire.

And don’t be deceived: Difference-makers are recruited far more often than they are developed.
I couldn't agree more. You've got to be able to identify and of course actually sign difference makers, not just offer them.

We know what to expect from Ashford but we may see Calzada and/or Geriner in action for the 1st time and I think that'll be very interesting.
