Good news is that I read that Shelby is available for this coming weekend against Mississippi State.

when it happened I was wondering how many times Bama has done that and actually gotten away with it. Umpire should have call that all day!

Stats are interesting and I like to look and compare. However, IMO we are getting better contact this year compared to last even tho' we don't have as many home runs. Last year's team would probably lost yesterday's game against LSU......just sayin"!

Shelby had surgery, actually in one of the tv shots we could see the scar on her arm. She has had a wrap on her left wrist - not sure what that is about.

My seats are on the third base line. I don't know what Lenti signaled as she rounded second but as she rounded third it looked like he was tryng to get her to hold up.....just hard to tell. Right after that happened Carosone was over at the dugout talking to the players and waving at second base - poor decision no matter who made it. Fortunately it didn't cost us the game.

In essence Ken Brooke, volunteer coach, is the hitting coach - regardless of what the bio says.

You are correct - we hoped for more by now but the team has been riddled with nagging injuries.

IMO - Having watched McCondichie and Bryant both at second - my choice would be McCondichie. Granted, her bat isn't quite as good but her fielding percentage is much better and she's a leader on the field.

Did Tennessee not have the option to release her?

We have no idea how good Blaine is as a catcher but she has a good bat. Hope she stays!

I was watching and agree that it should be an equipment malfunction but they ruled it HBP......this needs to be addressed. Due to the circumstances at the time with bases loaded it gave Oklahoma a run.

I was gonna let this go but I cannot - it's just mean. what is it you think she should do on game day/ If you can't say anything nice then perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

She is underutilized

I hope they apply this to ALL equivalency sports! Softball would benefit.........(the Arkansas women's softball team - the entire team - has an NIL.......just announced today) At least a full ride would be helpful!

I don't have a problem with the rule - I have a problem with a player with as much experience as a D1 ball player who doesn't touch home and her teammate who isn't paying enough attention to make sure she does. There's a reason they stomp on the plate when they get there.

Agree. I've been saying that HRs are nice but we haven't been generating hits to move runners in SEC play. Against the Gators I guess we didn't/couldn't "see" pitches well because they weren't close to 70 mph. Hope we have worked on that. Energy and focus!

Coached said after the game that he went out to pull her and then changed his mind. Admitted that it was on him.

Thanks. I was thinking Chattanooga beat us but hadn't had time to look. Better hitting for us this year and it's a home game so that should help. We need KK back - hope it's soon and for Sam to get her mojo back!
