Surround thorne with the right peices and he will do fine. We ran Nix off thinking he was the problem rather than what he was surrounded by. Iys time for a mindset change

Looks like we're going to have an outstanding class come Signing Day and Beyond. What is everybody's thoughts about how we finish ranking wise at this point. Top five top 10 just outside of top 10 class?

Awesome. I trust Freeze and that he saw a lot of upside here. Welcome to the Plains

This is hysterical. There are a lot of reasons Auburn lost the game. I am pretty sure they were instructed to not let anyone behind them, keep your positioning so you have vision and can come up and make a play. Also, don’t get lost on the play - which should be hard when you basically standing on the end zone with 8 of your friends. This was a lack of execution pure and simple for one of the top DBs.
And this is from someone that is not a fan of the 32 Crew.
And how do you maintain coverage for the 20 seconds that Milroe had to throw the ball. He was given time to wait for coverGe yo break down and the longer the play went on the more oppprtunity for a defensive penalty to extend the drive. Have you ever seen a 2 person rush in a situation similar? I havent

The defense has been Auburn's strong point all year. I for one hope Roberts is our DC next season. One unlikely play aside, Roberts has gotten a lot of good out of a team that isn't loaded with super stars.
He is a little too bendy no breakey for my taste. And im not sure a 50th ranked defensive squad qualifies as getting a lot of good. Maybe getting a lot of mediocre. Rage aside he will be back next year with more talent so lets see what he does with it. But if he cant generate any pressure on qbs next year will be another long year

That incompetent defensive scheming kept you in a game against a far superior foe, and bloody near won the game for you.
Two Bama scores called back from Holding and missed field goals from bama and 457 yeards given up. And the most bone headed call to rush two. Have you ever seen a hail mary prevent team rush two and place a spy on the qb that essentially wasted a player in all your years of football watching? There may be a reason for that. Given the qb all day to throw that ball was a given. It allowed him to pick a player in single coverage. It was gross incompetence.

It's time we stop blaming the qb and realize what they are surrounded with. Nix went from a serviceable qb to a heisman contender and all it took was leaving to another team with solid pass blocking and wide receivers. If Peyton had those things here no he wouldn't be a Heisman candidate but he would be a decent quarterback.

I suspect the game and the atmosphere left a positive impression on the recruits.

Someone clear up my confusion. I thought Alabama intercepted and ran back Auburns last pass fir 6 points. Why no score for that. What did i miss?

Maybe will Muschamp doesnt want to be just a co-defensive coordinator at Georgia.

No! He called a GREAT GAME and so did the offensive coaches. You people would burn innocent people in 1692 because they looked at you the wrong way. The trash values of the internet sicken me.
You might be a little melodramatic here

I must have missed something. I thought the last play was an interception and run back for a touchdown. But apparently not as the final score was 27 to 24. What am i missing here?

Few problems with Freeze tonight. Mostly a great cLled game on the offense.

Yep. And no one needs to cover the receiver for 39 seconds. What play lasts that long?
Apparently that one

Yeah. Let’s use the rebuild excuse for this one
Well to he fair with just a few mpre players we would have won this one handily. Probably the Geprgia game too. I give Freeze credit for a pretty good game call and give Roberts all the blane for the loss. But yes more talent would have won this too

You do understand that a ball thrown 31 yards is in the air long enough, against a prevent D, where all TF you have to do is hang with your receiver and know where TFING all is, right. You for DAMN sure don’t get caught with your back to the LOS.
Did you play football at any level?
No one hangs with a receiver for 39 seconds. Serioudly your defense is laughable.

Some of you, just stop with the “fire the coaches” BS. Players either make plays or don’t. Ours don’t when it’s on the line.
Tell me you didnt know the outcome of 4th and 31 when we rushed two. Sorry but that alone shows Roberts has no business coaching this team

I see that alot of you need to sit down and take a deep breath. A team that got beat by NMS just played Bama to the wire. The receiver on our team leads in receiving yards is a tight end, which means we don't have any legitimate receivers.
Now I agree that the rush two prevent was a terrible choice. However we by far have waaaay less talent than Bama. Y'all put the meth up and chill out. We need depth, we need talent. There are no moral victories but if we catch that muffed punt, get a few first downs the game is over. Dude didn't plan to slip, it just happened.
Alot of you sound like you escaped your straight jackets...just put the phones and keyboard down.
The anger is not with the players. Its the incompetent defensive scheming for a game that cost us a victory in the iron bowl. Roberts should be fired for that one play alone. Maybe you should rage more to help make it happen

Guys, definitely don't judge the man off one game. Dude has been pretty solid all year in my opinion.
Is that you Ron?

Three man rush wasn’t the problem. It was playing pure contain with your line on Milroy without bringing any pressure. He was going to find a hole. Their receivers are too good. But, bottom line, Roberts has no business being on an Auburn sideline from here on.
Thats the point. 3 man aint bringing pressure. So bring 5. Did we see a blitz the whole game? No. Npt one

Had no problem with him until that 4th down. Letting talent like bama has take all the time they want shows me he isn’t ready for this level. Go get a real DC.
One call? How many times did he have similar results with a 3 man rush this game. So his answer was to rush 2?
