I know we are putting a lot of hope in the Portal but the reality is, every other top tier team is also going after the same guys with just as much NIL money as we have. Very similar to recruiting HS kids, we will have to sell AU as much as our NIL. All schools are going to making bids to these kids (for lack of a better term because it sounds like we are buying kids off the meat market truck). Maybe call it "portalizing" these kids?

Does anyone have the "beat a dead horse" Gif we can put in this thread???

Just kidding, I would expect nothing less at this time of year. Everyone is scrambling to make hires and the only winners are the agents Like Jimmy Sexton. Oh well, I guess we just need to get the popcorn out and watch and see how it all pans out.

It's very curious to me that we have an OL and DL coach in place without the OC and DC being hired yet. Makes me wonder if they have agreed to come but have to fulfill current obligations and have agreed in part to come to AU? Seems like that is such a big part of their job that they would want their own OL and DL guys. If this is the case it seems that we may have a couple of good Co-coordinators coming. May just be my orange colored glasses though...

yeah.Honestly they have a strong team and they have all stuck together. Add in Primo and they have a talented group. But their biggest strength is the 3 ball. They shot lights out beyond the arc. Ok, Im feeling nauseated now. No more bama talk.

I don't want to think about losing both Flanigan AND possibly Coop after this year. Please no!! I want another Final Four run. I know, I know, very selfish of me.

What do you guys think of SC's defense? May have been mentioned before so apologies if it has already been mentioned. Here is what I'm talking about:

Sometimes he is late in the transition from Offense to Defense. Sometimes he is a bit behind the motion guy he is guarding. AM I wrong on this?

The reason I ask is 2 parts:

1) Is it just a learning curve since the game is much faster and athletic than HS ball?

2) Is it the fact that he is trying to conserve energy where he can since we are thin at PG position and he feels he needs to be out there as much as possible?

3) AUnCullman needs new glasses???

Guys I want to reiterate what Elephant Tiger ELEPHANT TIPPER wrote in the second post in this thread. We need to contact 977thezone.com and let the station know that we appreciate them airing the show that aired last night, Eyes on Auburn. The show was great I thought and will only get better. Rob pate (former Tiger) and Justin Hokanson did a great job getting in Jay Tate with inside info and Zeke Pike plus it was all AU talk. The morning show is great too with former Tiger Cole Cubelic who reps us well.

There is no doubt that bama will try to do the same thing only bigger. Lets all send in a comment or make a quick call.
