LS - Keaton McNutt 2024 from East Coweta, GA will visit AU this weekend. He is #1 LS in Georgia and is 4.5 star prospect in kicking world.  Would be a great pickup for a little talked about but important position.

We will have to battle Gus for this one unfortunately...    lol

I mean, when huge parts of your job are to be the public face of a football program, relate to top level recruits and their parents and convincingly persuade them of your vision and to come to Auburn instead of your rivals, and to schmooze and hobnob with boosters and other important people at Auburn to get the financial support you need for facilities and other needs in a conference like the SEC and you aren't comfortable doing any of them or look painfully awkward doing them, it's a problem.

Being a mod here has no such requirements.

I mean, how do you think Bird made it....am I right???

Didn’t know that . Just people were coming up with cool words when we land a recruit and I was upset I didn’t have one . That’s all

Here you go. "bobadibit" Its a unique word and will help you stand out above the crowd when you use it giving you much needed street cred.

Amazing what happens when you don't hire stubborn a-holes full of unearned confidence or socially awkward nerds.

    Totally agree with you.

How do you get this far and have those issues???  Blows my mind. I mean you are in front of 80 something thousand fans every weekend, are in charge of managing a huge Program, kids, other adults, and you get a job like that. How do they not get vetted out before it even gets this far. Unreal.....

QB for the 94 Interception Game at JHS.  I remember that game well, it was one of the craziest games I have ever been to.

I think Howard threw like 6 interceptions????

I was right in the middle of the LSU section at that game. Was miserable the first 3 qtrs and they were in our ear. With 2 mins left my wife was pulling me back to my seat because i had my shaker in every one of their faces. One of the best games I've ever been a part of. Of course 89 IB was the best.

Avery Jones - started all games at ECU playing Center and can flex to RT as well

Brian Battie - USF RB with lots of speed but not much size. We will see how he is used.

Nick Mardner - 6'6" WR from Cincinnati

Lawrence Johnson - DL from Purdue

DeMario Tolan - LB from LSU that Auburn almost landed out of high school

Marshal Nasili-Kite -  DL from Maryland

Gunner Britton - OT from WKU starting potential

Dillon Wade - OT from Tulsa starting potential

Rivaldo Fairweather - TE from FIU and a player we're very excited about

Elijah McAlister - Edge from Vandy that we're hoping to get Eku Leota type production from with limited eligibility left.

We also managed to get Zykeivous Walker (DL), Tar'Varish Dawson (WR), and Landen King (TE) to withdraw from the portal.

More to come but I'm pleased with the process so far. QB is the big question mark but the staff isn't panicking and being selective on who they really want. It's hard to determine how it will pan out but I don't currently see a clear cut name.

Thanks for putting that together @Zeek Its been moving so fast, I was wondering exactly what we had from the portal.

  7. Really, it didnt matter how many we did or didnt sign, it is just a mute point in the grand scheme of things. Evaluation of OL talent had not been addresed well under malzahn and Harsin. Regardless, they signed poor talent whether they had signed 30 or 8. They failed AU with their OL recruiting.

  8. And the "OL" we did end up actually getting were not talented at all. Our evaluation of OL talent has been horrid since after the TT days. Horrid may be too harsh, to be nice to the snowflakes I will say "Average evaluations at best" Some good ones, but mostly average ones.
