Auburn going to the Birmingham Bowl continues to be the most depressing thing ever. We get ragged on more for going to Birmingham than we do for missing a bowl.

Not to mention we lost the last one

  2. I'll have to say that as mad as I was at Thorne's stupid Pick-6, he didn't let it rattle him. He settled down and played pretty well afterwards. That says something. A lot of QB's would have checked out after that and all of the dropped passes.

I I think if you look at Venus and the impact of co2 on its temperature

Venus has not only 96+% concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere as Earth, it's atmospheric pressure is over 90X that of the Earth, it's atmosphere is 100X thicker than the Earth's, and it has no ocean. Here, at .004%, CO2 isn't the issue, and it won't be at .005, .006 etc...

  4. CO2 levels have increased, but there's no proof that CO2 is the driver of climatic changes. We aren't in a "climate catastrophe", "climate crisis", "climate apocalypse", etc...Those hyperbolic terms are word salads for fear porn articles.

A warmer climate is actually more beneficial than a colder one. Extreme cold kills many more people than extreme heat. The Earth naturally goes through warmer and colder cycles. We have adapted well over the last few hundred years, mostly through the use of technology driven by the use of affordable, reliable and available energy like coal, oil and natural gas. Trying to replace these with intermittent, unreliable sources like wind and solar is absolutely atrocious. Look at what's happened to places like Germany and Australia with skyrocketing energy prices.

  5. We aren't in a climate emergency or crisis. That is patently ridiculous.

However, the best answer for energy production in the future is nuclear with a blend of hydro, geothermal, solar, wind and yes, fossil fuels.  Trying to replace fossil fuels with predominantly wind and solar has always been a fool's errand.

  6. 2012 was worse. 2011 wasn't stellar. Somewhere in the vicinity of 1998 was bad and the back end of 2008 wasn't great. This most closely resembles to me the 2016 unit that rotated 2 or 3 average QB's against Clemson. The night game where the D played lights out and well enough to beat an eventual NC at home. Our offense couldn't break its way out of a wet paper bag. The D eventually gave way and Clemson snuck out of there with a win we gifted them.

  7. After watching Samford drive down the field with ease on their first drive, I thought Auburn would be lucky to win 5 games. After watching us take UGA to task, I thought maybe 7 was reachable. Now, I'm back to maybe 5 games at most. Worst offense I've seen at Auburn since 2012, or late 90's.

  8. I noticed the UGA fans were barking a lot early, but soon were vocally bashing Bobo's play calling and the QB play. They had their moments, but as we were leaving the stadium and heading across campus I also noticed most of them were a bit stunned at the outcome. They realized that their team wasn't nearly as good as they thought they were. I had a similar experience with Clemson fans when they left Jordan-Hare in 2016.

One couple even told my son it was a good game and that it was really close. Some UGA fans eating next to us at Mellow Mushroom afterwards were very polite and quite calm and collected.

  9. I walked out of the Auburn/Clemson debacle in 2016 along with dejected Clemson fans. No fan that left that stadium was happy with what they had just witnessed.

FWIW, Clemson went on to win the natty that year.

Auburn laid some early eggs in both 2010 and 2013 too. UGA should have lost to Mizzou early last season.

Just saying, we are at a crossroads. I believe we can get there with this staff if we can get a good class or two behind us. It's not all doom and gloom.
