No. Basically just have to have a relative or guardian live in the area of the high school and you don't have to sit a year. To be honest I have never heard of a high school transfer ever sitting a year in the first place.

I think transfer talk here is a moot point though. Joey is planning to Graduate early to be here in January so I don't see him risking that timeline by transferring. Riley has a scholl from many Ivy League schools so he may have the same opportunity.

I transferred between private and public schools in Bham and had to sit. I think in AL if you leave the zone you don't have to sit. I didn't move, only changed schools and had to sit.

Like most coaches who go to another team, they want to bring a few coaches with them. I'm surprised Chip isn't bringing any with him from Arizona State.

Not sure there are many coaches on ASU staff I'd trade with. Our O staff is strong with the exception of Kodi, and I think that's just inexperience.

I love everything about him but in full honesty at Army All-Star check in 2 weeks ago they measured him at a bit below 6'1". I love his potential as a Rusher but it would be hard to do that off the edge in college at that height.

I am 6', he is not. He has relatives 6'4" and 6'5", assume he is not done growing.

  4. TD just stopped by the office on the way to AU for his OV. He was excited to go fishing, hang out with T-Will and is focused on recruiting Tyler Taylor, Ryan Johnson, and Devon Hunter (not sure he knew he wasn't coming). Made him promise to tell me any news on the OC front, lol.

Also, legit 6'-3" 230lb with a handshake that you better be ready for. Good kid, built like a tank!

  5. From CGMs presser yesterday...

Wanted a long body with receiver skills at tight end. Cannella really gives them that look. He got a lot of work in the red zone in JUCO. Has a chance to get bigger in the offseason.

Tight end is an area we needed more depth and speed this year. Cannella has chance to help immediately. When we were at our best in 2010 and 13, we had a threat at tight end.

Will these be closed practices, as we have been accustomed to with Gus, thus having to rely on players' comments as to their opinions of individual performances?

All practices are closed to the media and fans. Auburn coach Gus Malzahn will speak to reporters Wednesday and Dec. 20. Selected players will speak Thursday and Dec. 19.
