  1. I believe it's Huddy. It sounds more like him anyway. I will say this, AU seems to be well represented at the Braves games.
  2. Yup. Quietly in first place. I don't know if anyone's mentioned it on here before, but the braves commercials are pretty funny. Especially, the one where Huddy says War Eagle!
  3. According to my mlb at bat app, If we win today then we will be in second place of the NL east. The marlins have lost the last 5 so the bravos need to come out strong. Maybe Uggla can get it going at his old ball park. Here's to hoping...
  4. Should be the Closer IMO!!! ^^THIS^^ Shhh! I don't want Freddie Gonzalez to hear that. Kimbrel is one of my closers in FB.
  5. Good to see Kimbrel come in and strike out the side. Hopefully, he can keep it up with the phillies coming to town.
  6. I think Ross is getting the start because the team traveled yesterday and today is a day game. If I remember correctly Bobby used to give BMac a rest when the team traveled and then played an early game. I haven't heard anything about Ross being Beachy's catcher.
  7. Yea, I hope he has a great year because he is one of my favorite players. Prado has consistantly hit over .300 the past three years. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/p/pradoma01.shtml
  8. Can't wait for some baseball. It gets me through the summer months while waiting for football to start. As soon as it goes on sale I'm buying the MLB at bat app for my droid. I can listen to the spring games while doing homework and such. I bought it last year and it was well worth it. Oh yea, go Bravos!
  9. Wow. Hope they get a deal done. It would be wierd to see Jeter in another uniform and Yankee fans would riot.
  10. Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. I haven't really kept up with baseball since football season started.
  11. A question for you guys in the know. Who is slated to be our closer next year? Is Johnny Venters in line to be the closer or someone else. TIA
  12. Just curious. Has anyone else noticed that we have only hit only like 3 solid fly balls. It seems like they get under every fly ball they hit.
  13. Wow! Bullet dodged. I thought we would only be up 1.5 games. Thank you Astros! I hope the braves get after it on Friday!
  14. I think the dodgers were trying to be like the reds...
  15. Obviously, I like the Bobby Cox logo. Besides the braves the marlins made me laugh the most.
  16. I have tried to find a free one, but due to MLB.com they have pretty much seized up the radios. I think you have to get an MLB application of sorts via iPhone, iPad, or computer. Yup. MLB.com will have something thru the computer. It might be cheaper now since we are later in the season. I think it is MLBTV or something like that. I have the MLB at bat android app on my phone. Bought it in spring training to get my money out of it. It's $15 and it allows you to listen to any game you want. I use it for when the braves are on PTV, since i don't get that channel.
  17. Nice to get a close win tonight. We have been getting burned by close games recently. Go Bravos!
  18. Lincecum hasn't been nearly as dominant this year. We have to get to him early. Hopefully, BMac and Chipper keep going.
  19. Not sure if has been mentioned but Meds hurt his ulnar collateral ligament in his pitching elbow. He is undergoing an MRI today. He is a young pitcher and pretty sure the Braves will be extra cautious with him. So if there is anything wrong, even if it is minor, he is going to the DL. On a side note. Troy Glaus and Eric Hinski's production from first base since June 13: 21-for-138 (.152 BA), 1HR, 14RBI, 29K/24BB. Probably why we are struggling so much.
  20. I have see some other people mention it, but maybe Troy Glaus needs a couple of days off. He is slumping and it looks to me like his legs or feet aren't right. If hinski isn't playing LF put him at first base and give the Glaus a couple of days off his feet. Glaus since the ASB 211/.367/.289 with 0 HR and 3 2Bs and 3 RBI
  21. Hopefully, he can get his head on straight in AAA. Who knows he could turn it around and be valuable for the Braves in late august, once he get's his confidence up. I'm not too optimistic but who knows? Feel bad for the guy. He hustles.
  22. I just read that they optioned Nate McLouth to AAA Gwinnett and recalled Brent Clevlen.
  23. The braves have lost only 1 of their last 21 series since May 10. They are 16-1-4. Wow! Here is the article i got that from. It has some nice quotes on what chipper thinks about the team. Go Bravos! http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/baseball/mlb/gameflash/2010/07/22/29878_recap.html?eref=sihp
  24. Yea. I agree with the control issues. He leads the NL in hit batsman. I think he struggles in the first 2 to 3 innings and then settles down. Hopefully, he can shut down the padres. This could probably end up being a low scoring series. The padres have some good pitching right now. We will have to do the little things right to win the series.
  25. So I was watching the highlights from the braves game. I don't get peachtree. Anyway, I saw the catch JHey made. I noticed something when watching the replay. He snowcones it and hits the wall. As he falls down he tucks the ball back in the glove! I mean he did just smack his head into the wall. I thought that was pretty amazing.
