I really just don't understand the timing of it all. If the WRs were missing assignments, missing blocks, lining up wrong, dropping passes, etc why did it take Harsin until the 4th quarter to make meaningful rotation changes? And after those changes were made, players that were in the game caught passes that they were supposed to including a WR saving a broken fade play (again) on 4th down to get open for the TD.

Coaches can only do so much and if the players don't perform they should have been sat down. But they weren't until we're at dire straights and needing a win. And you can't tell me that it was Corn who was handcuffing Harsin from making personnel changes.

You don’t realize how a coach that doesn’t play around anymore ! And then wait until it’s the end of the season and it becomes a pressure to fire a coach like the last one would do .

Gotta give the OP some props for standing up for this take, even though it’s the most ridiculous one I’ve think I’ve ever seen on this board. I mean what the heck does this even mean? No I didn’t read the justification for it because there’s nothing there.

Well I don’t get paid for this but the CBS announcers do. and they said the same thing about Alabama defense in the secondary because of the 3 past qbs they had! So go ask them!

How many of those games did Bo call the plays? How many of those games did Bo catch the pass? How many of those games did Bo block for himself and how many games did Bo play defense also, you know Bo is not the only person playing for AU each week. Does Bo mess up some ? Yes. So does everyone in that team. When I became an officer at a young age and old officer took me aside and told me “if you see someone never messing up, watch them closely cause they are doing anything at all”. I’ve found that to be true all my life . Good people working g hard are going to make mistakes. Learn from it and move along. The blame game won’t make us better or win any games.

The question I have is he checking each option on the plays ? To me he looks to be looking in one direction most of the time .

Personally I put all the blame with the coaches and their defensive calls. I don’t remember seeing a blitz or a time when we rushed more than 4, and a lot of times we rushed only three. If you give a decent QB all day he will eventually find an open receiver. Their QB and receivers were a pretty good group. We have to do a better job stunting and sending pressure from different places. I think our guys did well for what they were given. Maybe the coaches thought it safer to just take our chances in the secondary ? 🤔 whatever. In the end we played a good team, had a chance or two to win. Played against a loud fan base and were a long way from home. I for one am ok with what the team did. Would I have liked AU to win. Yes. But dang it wasn’t like nearly losing to Jax St. 😒

That’s the most reasonable reply! Most in here spat at this like little babies.

Well that makes so much more sense.

So, the defense struggled because they were practicing against our plays...or was it, the offense struggled because they were practicing PSU's plays.

I'm not quite sure, would you mind explaining which one it is?

Gladly! They have been facing Bo since the start of or early august. So percentage wise they have been playing against Bo for most of august vs two games against a light two college then the disaster against penn state .

Good grief. Really? The OP is ludicrous.

Really please tell me . Did you watch the game? Did you ever noticed how the Penn State qb looked  through multiple options for receivers? That’s something very much missing at home. Ludicrous really just for stating the obvious.

Even if you don’t believe in Bo, Finley is someone who’s at least as good at throwing as Clifford at purely passing. I’m sure they run drills where the QB just plays pitch and catch. No matter how bad you think Bo is, he’s not THAT bad

Well our DBs needs to play against more than pitch and catch in practice. Well I hate to admit it but they were talking about this very subject in the Al  Fl game . How this makes Alabama really good on defense with those 3 qbs they had.

Did you see the db's making a bunch of mistakes or did you see them not being able to cover for ten seconds? Because Bo wouldn't have anything to do with us not getting pressure on the other QB

No I seen TE catching multiple passes plus Dodson on numerous plays ! Someone else posted about completion percentage in the previous two games. So I’m not talking about that 10 second pass they held us on the first series.

Seeing the Clay Helton firing and honestly Harsin would have been perfect for USC.

Maybe he doesn't pan out but I've been impressed and pleased.

Yeah I see him being a perfect fit here! Even with some losses this year he will be what we want for a coach . that can handle Kirby and such in the future.
