  1. I am. But we, as a society, have to chill on exclamation points. It's terrible writing.
  2. I don't know about this Terry fella. He ended every sentence with an exclamation point, which makes his rebuttal lack credibility IMO.
  3. Uh huh. I'd guess one of these "offers" is to be a coordinator for Gulf Shores since they have a penchant for hiring former college coaches. But, they recruit even at the high school level, so I don't think it would be a great fit.
  4. I bet his internal dialogue was like, "Bryan. Everyday there will be adversity. How you choose to face it will determine how well you will be a leader of--THERE'S MY CAR! 1-0 TODAY!"
  5. Or maybe--just like the use of an elevator--walking directly to your car is a sign of weakness. This is all part of the plan to change the culture.
  6. Right, well, we shall see. The only thing I find more unlikely than Harsin being employed as a HC/OC/DC is that offers are pouring in right now for those positions. I call BS, but I'll happily eat crow if that means he's at another school next year.
  7. Wait you're telling me Harsin has other offers? I find it extremely hard to believe that he would be employed at any position beyond an analyst for at least a year.
  8. No he just identified himself as Dale from Boise. He just kept saying Harsin needs players that love the game and wasn't going to be "starstruck" (which apparently is Harsin-Family-speak for: blue-collar > blue-chip).
  9. This guy is going to show up to a meeting with the president all sunburned from the vacation he refused to shorten. Rookie mistake not to plan a trip recovery day.
  10. As a follow up thought to my post above, I still the coaches' meetings provides a backstop to the timeline of this mess one way or the other. I don't see how they let Harsin go if his firing is imminent. And if he has not been officially fired but does not attend the meetings, then that seems like a bit of a guarantee that his tenure at AU is over.
  11. So do we HAVE to send someone to the coaches' meetings? Even if they dump Harsin today, the next head coach obviously would not be installed in time to make the meetings. And since the only coordinator we have right now is a Harsin acolyte, it would seem like an odd choice to send Schmedding (and even odder to send a position coach).
  12. Honest question here: let's set aside any rumor of abuse, racism, affairs, etc. Also set aside the mess that this process itself has become and the bad PR from firing a coach even merely on a performance basis after only a year. I think most everyone believes the situation is untenable now, regardless of how it got here. I guess what I'm curious about though are the folks that have been pro-Harsin for awhile now. I'm not trying to troll, but is it simply because he has a stern look, works out with the players, and tosses out football platitudes ("1-0 everyday," etc.)? Again, I'm honestly asking.
  13. I just saw this article on ESPN as well. I thought he was supposed to return today? I know the spring meetings for SEC coaches are far less attended by media members than SEC Media Days, but there are still a number of reporters around for one-on-ones, etc. I can't imagine this situation isn't resolved by Thursday with that in mind. Seems like it provides a fairly hard backstop to the timeline...
