Whenever I see caddy and prime compared I just cringe.  If the point is insufficient experience, I sort of get it. But it requires a real stretch. . In reality, besides they’re both mammals, they’re’s no comparison.  And for obvious reasons, probably shouldn’t be.

Caddy to me is the case study for why we should go get Prime.

  2. We can go bowling with a 5-7 record if:

There are more bowl slots available than eligible teams and...

If our strength of schedule is high enough.

I believe a few years Arkansas was of those "outside looking in" teams that got the last invite.

    I saw some of it.

I haven't watched Liberty this year until today. I understand that they are on their third string QB. The guy playing QB looked to be a weakness as they were trying to come back at the end.

Third String QB. Good enough to beat Arkansas, but not enough to beat UConn...

Only think I can take away from this is it seems like Brother Hugh should have spent more time coaching and less time campaigning.

When you say he will probably get a restraining order, that is a form of manifestation. I don’t have a problem with your “ethics.” My problem is with your BS analysis of what he accomplished at Liberty as a head coach.  Of course you don’t respond to that critique. Instead , you choose the low hanging fruit rhetoric those who don’t want freeze always use!

Because what he's accomplished at Liberty is irrelevant. For the sake of argument I'll agree with you that what he's done at Liberty is Herculean. And?

It's obvious we have a fundamental disagreement on whether or not Hugh Freeze's character and actions should disqualify him.

People have said he was a creep as a highschool coach, we know what he did at Ole Miss, and he is still acting weird at Liberty. It may be low-hanging fruit, but that fruit is pretty dang rotten.

So you lied. There is no restraining order. Again, you are full of it. Just manifesting stuff. If his wife, family, church, institution and God has forgiven him, that is good enough for me.

Lied about what? A hypothetical Finebaum call in? I haven't "manifested" anything that he isn't currently accused of.

The guy is a time bomb, forgive me for wanting Auburn to make an ethical hire and maybe look outside of the low-hanging fruit of SEC/Auburn retreads.

I had not read about a restraining order. Thats a new one for me.

Ms. Andrews would probably have a case, but no, there is no active restraining order. I was just being a bit facetious.

Quote: Why is the head football coach at Liberty University DMing me during and after my lawsuit with LU?

At almost midnight. When I didn’t tag him.

& I haven’t responded to the other DMs he’s sent over the months

Publicly naming so he can see that I don’t want direct contact w/ him

The next time Freeze loses his rocker, the next person might actually seek legal action. I'm sure that'll be a good look.

You and others have been saying this repeatedly. Majority of the people do not care.

    And it's insane.

"Sure he may have a restraining order against him, but he's a winner, Pawwwwl".

Liberty is a small fish who is currently beating other small fish and has had the fortune to beat two struggling Power 5 schools. As impressive as that is, no one is looking to drag little ole Liberty's athletic programs and their coaches. Auburn on the other hand would not be so lucky... perhaps if we were an Ohio State or an Alabama... but the media and our rivals will care then.

I get that ethics can get a little grey in this business. I'm not that naive. But Freeze has shown that he is bad at calculating his risks.

  8. The thing about Freeze, and I cannot stress this enough, is not his stint at Ole Miss...

It's the fact that he has been harassing a Title IX plaintiff on Twitter as recently as this summer... 2022. The only way I'd be comfortable with hiring him is if he has his phone taken away and is only allowed to communicate through smoke signals or telegraph.

Anders was always overrated by the fanbase but this latest knee injury has made his play considerably worse.  I hate it for the guy but am glad he will be replaced next season.

Anders broke all of Daniel's highschool records. There was plenty enough reason to give the benefit of the doubt on Anders.

    It would be very JABA...

And you know, he wasn't a terrible recruiter. But he isn't ready yet. I think we can ill-afford another coaching change that nets us a staff of "young, up-and-coming" G5 position coaches that no one knows.

    Maybe next-go-round though...

  11. With the new TV deal netting us a cool $100M cut, the question isn't can we afford Lane? But should we be spending that kind of money on Lane? Even in this new era of hyperinflated contracts I don't think Lane is worth $10M per year. You don't pay Saban level money for just a shiny new toy.

  12. One unusual statistic from this season: Teams who have fired their head coach mid-season have turned around and won their next game. Nebraska, Georgia Tech, even Charlotte earned their first win on the season after an 8-loss skid that cost their HC his job.

Miss State is not a great matchup for us, but I'm at least a little optimistic now that we've cut the dead weight.

The biggest question for me is can the fans, including the extreme opinions on this board, sit in their hands, keep their opinions silent, and give him time. My gut tells they are not capable.

As long as Deion's teams don't long fundamentally worst from week to the next, I think most people will be willing to give it some time to mature.

  14. Freeze is not such a transcendental coaching talent that one can just ignore his egregious past (and fairly recent) mistakes.

What about his well-documented history of issues would remotely suggest that things would be different with him at Auburn?

  15. I disagree with Goodman on his stance about vaccination and I think he's gotten a bad rap for it. But I think his criticisms of Harsin have been fairly spot on and it's not as if he's been anti-Auburn. He was extremely complementary of Bruce Pearl and the Basketball team this past season.
