I already mentioned the Mba was Juco in my original post. I mentioned Mba while not a Transfer but a Juco as he is an experienced college player coming in. You left out three key Players I mentioned James, Jones, and Asante two of those James and Jones are possible starters or at worse will get significant PT and Asante will get PT.  As for Calzada vs Bo statistics were similar last year where you would have thought a 3 year starter would have been superior so at worse that is a wash and if Calzada gets better then that is a gain.  I also mentioned in original post that losing the Hudson hurt but as he was our top WR but it is not like his numbers set the world on fire.  So I stand by my statement that we gained in quality.

That is not the narrative that he is pushing, all negative all the time!

Yep. I said when they announced he was staying that they crippled him. He can recover, but he has to win now and the odds are stacked.

I think we will be much improved over last year, but so will most teams in the SEC. I believe we will be really good on defense. Much improved at quarterback position and I really believe we will be stronger and improved on offensive line. We are good at running back and I have faith that Ike will have wide receiver group performing much better. How all this compares to our competition and how it improves win-loss totals, I’m not sure. We really have a tough schedule! If we win the games we are supposed to and win a couple of toss ups and maybe one we’re not supposed to, we could have a decent season, providing we don’t get blown out by Ga or Al. I’m really more concerned with 2023.

    Interesting.

I have not seen any of the bad locker room talk.

    What a mess!

I may be misunderstanding you  but I think he was talking about when Harsin first took over. From all that I’m reading, we now have players and coaches that are all pulling together!

  4. What a nightmare! Anyone that didn’t see thi coming... Anyway the big rich schools will have all the star players and compete for championships while the rest, Auburn included, will be also rans, I don’t care how many times they change coaches

So, what you’re saying is, they can change the rules, but “the rich” will sooner or later find a way around the rules to continue buying the best players!

Some of the lower profile college sports will be ok because their isn’t as much over-the-top greed going on.    But college football is done.   There’s no coming back from where it’s gone.

Afraid you are correct! I’m like some others on here, I can find something else to do. I love Auburn and Auburn football, but I will not continue watching when we have absolutely no chance to compete with the rich and powerful

While it is interesting to see these numbers, many of us never doubted that it would come to something like this. There were deniers who said recruiting wouldn't turn into a bidding war with the rich getting richer. They were wrong.

    Something we can agree on!

that is not what is being said. it is being reported by several folks on this board. ask some folks or donate enough to get in the eagles nest and you shall see my fellow auburn fan. in face one person said he did not think he had to recruit that hard to beat anyone he could just coach up what he had. why do you think so many are unhappy with harsin? this is why there is such a difference between last year and this year. ask someone but i have no reason to lie about it. i want harsin to do well.

I don’t think that you would deliberately post something that was not true, but I’m afraid you and I and probably too many others believe way too much that is posted as the truth. I know you posted that someone posted something that you believed to be true, and “maybe” it was but to be honest I find way too much that is just rumors. After all that has been alleged about CBH, I personally have a hard time believing most of what is posted on here, after all , most is just opinions anyway and everyone has an opinion

to us. i just read a quote from a buddy on the rant and he said this........"Auburn has played against 10 first rounders so far. “this was posted on the 28th so i am sure we might can add more and we still have to finish the draft altho i admit i doubt there are any five stars left. this is the kind of thing our tigers face every single year. i realize how critical this is but i will never understand why a bright young coach did not get this and let recruiting fail the first year. he should have already been up to speed on recruiting i would think. now he is a year behind and he might not make it long enough to get our fair share of players that might make a difference.

Do you really think he just let recruiting fail? Do you think he didn’t try or that coach was just lazy and didn’t care. We are all disappointed that recruiting didn’t go better but I don’t think CBH just allowed it to happen. I believe the coaches are working hard to build relationships with highschool coaches and recruits and that our recruiting will begin to improve! Hopefully to the expectations of all Auburn fans!

Because that part wasn't important. The important part, with regards to my post, is that Eason was a desired commodity.

Again, my post wasn't about Harsin's ability to retain his staff. It was the opposite. It was about how desirable his staff was to other coaches. Eason was. Friend... eh...

Sorry I misunderstood, I am in total agreement with you, just misunderstood what you were saying!

What's disingenuous about it? What's even remotely contentious about it?

Dabo wanted our guy and took him. Yes, it was his alma mater, but it doesn't mean that a shark- Dabo- didn't circle- want our guy- and get him.

The only reason I added that qualifier was to acknowledge a good hire that Harsin made in Eason, because my previous post could have been interpreted as me saying that nobody wanted to hire any of our guys after last year.

I interpreted it to say that WF couldn’t or didn’t get a good offer like Mason did, but after rereading, I agree that wasn’t a dream offer. However, I don’t think Dabo nor any other “shark” could have come in and scooped Eason away from Auburn had it not been his alma mater and you left that part out.

Gus's failure on OL doesnt have baring on the current staffs ongoing lack of OL

How do you figure that? You don’t really know what was in the portal and whether any of them even wanted or would come here. Even if he had recruited well, it is very doubtful that any would start as freshman, so I put much of the problem on Gus. We should have some good juniors and sophomores ready to move up but guess what!

Thought you were somebody else lol. Proud will come around in a second and dislike all my posts then lie and say he doesn't follow me around and do that as if everybody can't see when you dislike stuff

look at how you got a like already from that though! If you ever need any likes just say you hate Cole or something like that and you'll get 3 or 4 free likes on me 😂

Well maybe we just both misunderstood, anyway I just don’t care for all the constant negative remarks and I honestly don’t think changing coaches every 2 or 3 years will in any way help accomplish building a winning program!

I don’t believe that 1 full year, especially with all that took place that was not his fault, is anywhere near long enough to evaluate what he can do. And yes I see a lot of positive in the recruits that he is bringing in. I am more than willing to give him 3 or 4 full years to see what he can do. I am also pleased with coaches he retained and brought in. I think his being given enough time to prove what he can do will be extremely more beneficial to Auburn than to change coaches everycouple of years! Yes I know that’s my opinion and you have yours that you continually express

Can’t believe cole gave me a thumbs down. Lol

I don't dislike the coach. What I don't like is the failure to produce positive results so far.

Point out where I'm unfair with the following grades: Recruiting, C-, Transfer Portal, D, Player retention, D, Won/loss, in-game coaching decisions, D. Staffing, with the possible exception of the Ike Hillyard hire, C- at best.

If you are happy with Harsin's results so far, that's fine for you. The only positives I have seen are the very subjective "Oh but we've got a better culture." That culture will be tested soon. Does that, if true, convert into wins? It didn't last season.

Or, win the three gimme games, split with MSU and Mizzou and then....???? We'll be the underdog in every other game on the schedule. 4-8 or 5-7 seems likely. An exceptional recruiting season next year could save Harsin for a third season, but when, exactly, is that going to start?

The transfer portal: 247 sports has a transfer portal ranking that ranks schools on who they bring in, much like a recruiting ranking. Four SEC schools are currently in the top ten, with Ol' Miss sitting at #1. Auburn is 35th. When are we going to start?

Why don’t you just tell us how much you dislike our coach and be done with it!
