Yes, I am pretty sure sean was put in a lot of 3rd and long downs during the Kentucky and Arkansas games. Like I said, SW success hinges on how CGM schemes for him. This might make me sound like a douche but if SW doesn't pan out to a point of being serviceable, I have to conclude that Gus and/or Rhett cannot develop QBs. That would leave one of them on the chopping block and his name resembles Brett Ashlee.

100% This.  Bet anyone a dollar that Al Borges could take Sean White,  and the same offensive talent we have now and field a very dangerous offense.

I may get killed for this, but I can see him being more like Baker Mayfield. Size and ability.

    Mayfield  (rJr)6"1 210 vs

    Sean (rSo) 6' 205

    Mayfield 65%

    White 58%

But Sean was 83 of 143. To reach 65% he would've needed to be 92 of 143. That's only 9 passes which we all know he had at least 9 dropped.

I feel Sean needs the chance to mess up and work through it with out fear of being pulled. If allowed to do so, I think he will excell.

I agree, when he was healthy I just don't feel QB was our biggest problem. Guy was a redshirt freshman last year who was not fully prepared by enough reps with the ones for what he was thrown into. Did he make some mistakes?, sure he did, but he found second, and third receivers, and delivered the ball very accurately on most occasions. With him as the starter, I am much more concerned if we can devise game plans to utilize his strengths. If Gus continues to run the ball into 8, and 9 man fronts on first down, puts him into 3rd and long repeatedly, and then calls slow developing pass plays he won't have a chance to be successful. As I said originally, I hope the light comes on for Jeremy, and he learns to make quick sound decisions with the football. Sadly, I just don't have much faith in it. I guess we will see how it shakes out in a couple weeks.

That's it? I am sure that is all every QB in the nation needs.

look dude. That is my opinion I just posted. Getting a little tired of your smart a** comments. Are you saying we do not have those things? If we don't, then we have problems that no QB can fix. Cam Newton, or Joe Namath.

  4. Just watched the entire Ark. game from last year for the first time. Did not get to see it last season because of work obligations. Based on what I just saw, there is no way that a healthy Sean White should not be the starter, all he needs is an offensive line that can reasonably block, and receivers that can catch. The guy is a gamer. His play in that game was head and shoulders above any thing I have seen from JJ since one good quarter of football two years ago. I know some of you guys think Jeremy has all this talent, and I hope he proves me wrong, but I just haven't seen anything close from him to what I just witnessed from Sean.
