Do we really have to get Hugh Freeze? Does my solace after the embarrassment of the last two years have to be Hugh Freeze?

Unfortunately yes . They will announce  it tomorrow . I mean really who do you think would come to AU at this point. Hugh is the best we will get at this point in time. I would prefer Dion but the decision has been made. He  will be better than Harsin or Gus at least. I’m just not sure he can stay out of trouble . 🤔

DL has not even been getting much pressure against lesser offensive lines. Very little lateral movement, poor hands, can’t shake blocks.  And when your opponent is bigger, stronger and just as quick, you better be creative.

Our DBs have looked like crap. This is the worst I have seen them look since 2012. And just remember we paid big money to Harsin to come in here and destroy the team. That alone qualifies for firing Allen Greene. 😠

    Zebras gave em' one......

They did, but our players have given them several more with stupid freshman mistakes by 6 th year OL players and other stupid plays by offense. Robby started out good then turned to crap quickly. I don’t care who they hire but it better be someone that can recruit sone talent because we don’t have any . 🤔

  4. Whoever the new coach is I hope he can recruit because we need player  ( real player) to come in. We have 6th year seniors on the line that still make freshman mistake. In fact the whole team makes stupid mistakes. Alabama hasn’t played that well but when they screw up we just give them a penalty to bake up for it. It’s just sad

  5. If you want to know what axed Harsin it was his attitude. Harsin never attempted to be part of Auburn. Look at Bruce Pearl . At anytime he might show up at a dorm with pizzas. Or at any other school function. And during basketball ,volleyball ,football season you can find him in the stands hollering War Eagle with the kids and fans. Harsin for whatever reason put on an air of privilege. As for Greene he made the decision on Harsin over objections of high ranking folks. When you go over the other folks to make a pick you are putting your job and career on the line. Alan bet it all and lost. It happens.

  6. Auburn has a great chance. So bama’s weak point this year has been their offensive line. Auburns strong point the last 3 weeks have been our defensive line. I would bet we get at least 2 turn overs off bama’s offense tomorrow. That said our offense will have to play better as well. We need to continue running the ball but Robby has to learn how to make the short passes in order to keep bama’s defense honest . Both of our runners are great once they get some speed up. Of course that hasn’t been Robby’s strong point so far. But that’s how we can win . Quick short passes and a hard running game and blitzing bama on defense. Young doesn’t make good decisions under pressure , that how we came close last year .

Back in 2007, Alabama essentially wrote out a blank check for Nick Saban.  He immediately became the highest paid coach in college football.  It was an astronomical amount of money, at the time.  But, they were willing to do whatever it took to return their team to greatness.  Obviously, Auburn has money to spend.  We have spent millions and millions to send coaches packing in the last few years.

I'm not sure whether Lane Kiffin will be our next coach, or not.  But I don't understand paying him the amount of money it is going to take in order to pull him away from Ole Miss.  I don't understand why Auburn doesn't offer Dabo Swinney, an absurd amount of money, say 12-13 million and make him refuse to take it.  He has more of a track record of success than Lane Kiffin.  I would rather us pay obscene amounts of money to hire coaches than pay that money to fire coaches.

Agree . Last night is a good example. 3 weeks ago in Caddy’s first game after taking this disaster of a season over he took Ms St to over time and lost at their house. Last night Kiffin lost in regular time to Ms St at ole miss’s house. So tell me why we shouldn’t believe Caddy can and will do as good as Lane. And the advantage is Caddy won’t be embarrassing us with his mouth like Lane will?

    Understood. Interesting.
I have it in good authority that it’s true and it’s happening. As far as it leaking now, that may indeed be from the Ole Miss end. But, I would favor that the Jon guy who broke both stories likely has the same contact within the AD department.

So if Passthe Biscuit says it so then I am  believing it . 👍😊🙏🦅 PTB is very seldom wrong. Thank you.

Finley could make some throws and our OL wasn't nearly as banged up. We had overall better play at LB and corner and we were at home. When bama had to make a drive to win, it was nearly effortless.

This season, we're in their stadium and they now have a chance at the playoffs if they make a strong statement against us. I love our new fire, but it is going to be far rougher than last year I suspect.

That’s why they play the game. 😊🦅🦅🦅because opinions don’t matter.

  10. So I was just thinking about last years IB and the one coming up. So here are sone thoughts.

First Alabama is not as good this year as they were last year with their two losses and no SEC to play for. I think their QB has suffered from sophomore syndrome. I think most would agree.

Second this time last year AU was on a losing streak coming in to the IB and the team and coaches were shattered . Bo was gone and TJ was hurt and we really had no backup. This year coming in we have two straight wins. Our QB if not great is still better than a hobbled TJ last year. Our RBs are hitting their strides. Realistically I believe AU is a better team today than when they entered the IB last year .  Of course we are playing away instead of at home this year which is bad.

That said I think we have just as good a chance as we did last year when we took them into overtime . I think the team as a while is better both physically and mentally than they were at the IB. So I am picking a “Cam Back” in Tuscaloosa come Saturday 😊👍🦅

  11. Ok enough. I like Caddy but he is not ready for the HC position. I think we go after a really good coach like Kiffin or Dabo and let them hire all new coaches. I think Harsin contaminated the team and the Staff. But I think it’s important to do it quickly so we can go recruit some talent especially at QB. The new coach will need to fin a good OC and DC. Auburn will just have to pay the price it takes to compete in this league. We got Tx and Okla coming in and it’s not going to get any easier. We either pony up for big time coaches that can recruit or we need move over to Division 2 where we can win. We really suck this year. Maybe as bad as 2012. At least close anyway.

I would take Sanders over all and Kiffin over Dabo but that is just me.

Exactly. Folks as long as football has played it’s always about the Jimmys and the Joe and not the Xs and the Os. That’s why we need a guy that can bring in the top recruits. That’s why I like Deion. I think at AU he can land the best talent and put us in the map by next year. 🤔

I know I’m on the game thread, but Cohen’s interview by Cole. He’s wasting his time if he has a 58 point checklist. AU has the opportunity of a lifetime, unlike any time in our coaching history. Coach Prime.

Agreed. Deion will keep Caddy because he knows what he brings to the field . They will right this ship by next August. Nobody else can do that. Because those two guys can bring young men in here to win.

Served 3 yrs as enlisted and received a direct commission after 3 yrs and served another 3 yrs. Like the rest have said the military opened so many doors in my life. It was truly an honor to serve. Thank you  to all my brothers and sisters in arms who served as well. US Army 1971-1978

I could definitely get on board with that. Good grief at the recruiting prowess a staff led by Deion and Carnell would have...

This. I really think with the enthusiasm both of them bring to the table it would be a home run hire. On top of that it wouldn’t take a mega million long term deal to get either one on board. I think it would be worth next year to see what they could do. WDE🦅🦅🦅

  16. This morning I’m just thrilled to be an Auburn Tiger. While the team didn’t win, they never gave up. We got into a bit of the hole while they were trying to find their footing. I could see a whole different team out there last night and I was proud of them. We didn’t have the horses because Harsin opened the door and run them off earlier but they showed their courage. I don’t know if Cadillac is ready for the HC permanently but he will be shortly. That said we have to go round up some talent to replace what we lost but with the portal and a strong NIL, I think we can do that soon. But all I got to say this morning is WAR DAMN EAGLE !!!
