Hartwell announced this week. Most likely Friday.

CBH fired at end of the season

    1a: Grimes

    1b: Deion

This info has been posted previously in multiple threads by @RunInRed and I.

Don’t know much about Hartwell outside of what has been shared here so I don’t have an opinion on that.

Grimes and Deion are my top two. Deion is the flashier hire. Grimes was my top choice because I thought Deion was completely out of the question. I didn’t think Auburn would consider him and I didn’t think he’d consider Auburn. Coach Sanders would be my top choice out of the two since I know he’s a realistic get now. That’s just a personal choice though. I think both are good candidates and could set us on the right track.

Anyway back to DS, I am of the believe that he absolutely would be a take here and he is our best option in combatting what is to come in the SEC. Look at the turn around in 2 years by Tennessee . Under this landscape , it can happen folks.

The most underrated thing Deion would bring to Auburn is an updated culture change. Some energy, some newness and excitement. Similar to what Bruce has done with basketball obviously. Auburn Football is……a dud to say the least. DS is the furthest thing from that. I love what he does at JSU with his players. Everyone has fun. You can tell.

Obviously AU can’t have the same deep culture as JSU but he can at least help bring us into this century. Auburn, AL might burn to the ground just from having CDS and CBP in the same city. That’s a lot of excitement in one place.

Man, thank you for the perfect response. Much better than I can muster at this point. You covered it all.

I appreciate it. Like I said, I’m not usually one for a back and forth but this is insane. This thread has gotten way off track so I’m sure mods will come through and shut it down but I can’t hold my tongue with someone just being this blatantly ignorant and now he’s on here talking about ghettos?? Dude needs a timeout or something.

Where I want to be in the end? Since you insist: With my portfolio, real estate holdings etc. I’m a millionaire in my 50s, how about you?

Many, if not 100% of the companies I invest in, all have dress codes.

They are daughters of the millionaire face of our once proud football program. They should dress and carry themselves that way. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

Go google some pics of how Alan Greene and his family dress in public which many have commented on here about how classy they always look.

    L. O. L. Since you insist: I’m at a place in life where I’ve never put true human value in how someone looks or dresses, much less in how much money they have. I don’t think I’ve ever fixed my lips to say “I make X amount of money”. This is not because I’m not professionally successful but because it’s extremely cringey and honestly gross. I was raised a little better than that.

Since you’re already in your 50s, you might want to start reflecting on life a little bit deeper than you currenlty do. Times not exactly ticking any slower and I feel like these are lessons you should have already learned at such a big age.

While you’re at it have a history lesson on the word “ghetto”.

Fair statement , but isn’t this a football forum. What are we discussing here??

This is a football forum and I’m not usually one to keep going back and forth with someone because I hate when people clog up boards but this guy’s out of line and this is not the first time he’s done this if I recall correctly.

I ain’t a mod and I don’t make the rules but he shouldn’t be allowed to just come on here and make these weird, out of line comments about women, repeatedly, without anyone saying anything. They have nothing to do with this.

I'm certainly not one to take up for AU 24, but I get what he is saying.. I wouldn't have said classless,, perhaps dress more conservative.Like it or not, we are in Alabama and their daddy does have one of the 2 or 3 most prestigious jobs in the state. I guess it comes down to personal choice but I would bet Sabans daughter dressed more conservative when she came onto the field. But, it's not my job to tell the man how his daughters dress. But be prepared for criticism if it doesn't line up with other people's  views.

His daughters are wearing long sleeves and pants. The problem that exist is that these women should not have to be “prepared for criticism” for getting dressed. They are not employed by Auburn University in any way so they do not have to follow a dress code. It’s that simple. They are at a football game as attendees. As long as they ain’t breaking laws for indecent exposure then they are dressed appropriately. They do not have to shape the way they dress to accommodate the backwards ass views of these backwoods folks in Alabama. Neither does anyone else. If dim correct this isn’t the first time he has said some stuff like this about these women and their appearance. This is very weird behavior plain and simple.

So how someone dresses determines whether or not if they have class? $#!* like this is really funny.

I've got a brother in an organization I used to ride with. On weekends and mandatory rides, folks like you'd see him at a gas station or on the road and pass judgement based off his appearance (beard, dreads, etc). Yet Mon-Fri he's in a suit because he's an attorney.

You can take your 1950's opinion of class back to Mayberry.

They are wearing jeans and long sleeve shirts at that….. I thought he was kidding for real.

    Unfortunately they are real.

I was actually hoping you were being sarcastic and didn’t actually believe something so stupid. You’re a weirdo for real.

Those could be his two adult daughters which means he ain’t “letting” them wear anything.

If one of them is his underage daughter then you’re a REAL weirdo.

Either way you should be embarrassed. Yikes.

That’s the common thread in most of the comments I’ve seen.

Me too. Basically people believe he was set up to fail. At this point I don’t see how people still believe that conspiracy theory.

Scary thing is, people still support Harsin. Not so much here, but Facebook groups I’m in…yikes.

I think people are just so caught up in this whole “boosters coup” narrative that they are willing to blindly support this horrific excuse for a head coach.  He’s getting more of a leash than anyone else would ever get with fans becasue of the “big, bad boosters”.

    Hilarious

Let's not hire a coach who others might covet

Alternatively , let's hire a coach who absolutely nobody worth a spit would want. Makes total sense.

Yeah I don’t get it either. Of course FSU would want Deion Sanders and of course Deion would probably want to go to FSU. We can either pay him enough to convince him to stick with AU or he’ll leave us in a significantly better spot which will make us more enticing to a new coach.

Did you see the JSU interview? If the media treats him the same way they treat Hrsin, he won't last 15 minutes.

Are you referring to the interview where he stops the reporter and tells him to act more himself or whatever? The one that just started getting shared?

Deion Samders has been in a MAJOR public spotlight for nearly 40 years. Lolol. I think he can handle the media. I love AU more than anything but AU ain’t bigger than Deion Sanders so I don’t think a local beat reporter is going to take him down.

Also this narrative that the media mistreats Harsin is comical.  Everything he gets is warranted.

  13. Deion Sanders should be the choice. I’m suspicious of anyone who doesn’t want Deion. I’ve read everyone’s reasononings and none of them make enough sense for me to not think he’s the best choice honestly. I just think there are other reasons why people don’t want him, reasons that probably shouldn’t matter.

I don’t think he will be the choice though, which sucks.

Is McGee RB coach? After watching more of the game, I do have to lay plenty of blame on Kiesau. I’m from ATL area and hell Ryan was chased his entire career here but he still managed to score points. He was a pocket passer which is what HG is. Get Ashford out, because his presence scares nobody. They should be throwing quick slants w this O Line. Lose this game today and I can’t honestly say I see us even beating WKU.

    I believe he is.

That would make too much sense. We haven’t had a coach actually coach to balance our OLine weakness in…. well ever.
