Ran into Michael's dad at the gym in Hiram GA this morning. Seemed like a nice dude who is really proud of his kid. Said that after 3 knee surgeries, Michael wasn't varsity anymore, but that football was paying for his Master's Degree. Said Michael wants to coach, so they let him do GA type stuff.

So say the booth stops the game and reviews the video. Say they make the determination that Shivers's touched the ball on the way into the end zone. If it's a given that they also determine that the play was also blown dead as Shivers was in the process of retrieving the ball in the end zone, is there anything for the booth to over rule? I think not.

I've heard Sherrill speak on this topic a couple of times. Dye was Sherrill's position coach when they were both at bammer, and Sherrill hated Dye, and probably still did up to the moment that Dye passed. Sherrill also thought Dye was stupid. Back then, the bammer players would have homework where they'd have to write and draw up their assignments for the week's game plan, and turn it in to their position coach. Sherrill would intentionally do his incorrectly, and said Dye couldn't tell the difference.

What's happened to the defense that was playing lights out earlier in the season? Did the toil get to be too much? I know we are missing an elite 3rd down edge rusher but all the other pieces appeared to be in place. We're going to have to hold thUGA to 28 or fewer points. We got that left in the tank?

Is "apparent intent" a practical element of targeting? It would make sense to me if it was. There's a difference between two helmets colliding and spearing someone in the noggin with your own helmet.

Thought pretty much the same thing. Other than the end of half, let's keep his kicks to 45 yards or so. Nobody questions his leg, but the accuracy over 50 hasn't been good. I'd rather have the field position.
