Tigers found the running game early, leading the conference in stolen bases and 5th in the country after the first week of the season. This is an aspect of the offense we have not seen in a very long time…that I can recall.
Hoping it stays this way. It annoyed me in 2019 that as fast as most of that offense(besides Woley, Davis, and maybe Williams) was that we didn't steal bases as much as they could have. Not complaining about that year's results though.

Even had Bohannon been fired from Bama without the betting controversy, schools would have been interested in him as a recruiter given he had 4 top 10 classes in 5 years at Bama. Now schools won't touch him.

Ryan Bliss got traded to the Mariners. The Diamondbacks had their MIF covered for the next few years so he was blocked, and now he will go to a team where the 2B is a free agent after this year, which lines up perfectly with his timeline.

Props to biscuit and todd for getting this news out. Y'all this may very well be the best staff, top to bottom, in all of college baseball. There is no doubt in my mind that it is, by a large margin, the most humble and passionate staff in college baseball. If you read the article and did the math, you know that Scott has averaged 2 pitching draftees EVERY year of his 30 years in coaching. If Gonzo is healthy in 24, look out!!
I've seen a bunch of MSU fans on the college baseball subreddit bash him during the last two seasons as a pitching coach but I think he was scapegoated. To be fair most of them also blame Lemonis. This is a great hire. We know what Gonzo can do, would love for Allsup/Murphy/Crotchfelt/Herbeholtz to step up in the rotation. Look forward to this season.

This offseason for Alabama baseball is showing the importance of NIL in the SEC, they've lost their big contributors either to the draft. Given how LSU/Florida took a couple top players from the SEC, it's a credit to the staff and the NIL to keeping our big guys here and not transferring.

It has been a week of good news for pitching. Quick question: Any of our incoming freshmen arms expected to contribute early? Thanks.
Tilly, Bjorn Johnson(If he makes it to campus) and Griffin Graves are the big ones. But honestly, if Auburn is losing just Isbell(Vail and Sheehan were already gone), there's not gonna be much pressure on the freshman assuming staff is healthy(always the big if)

I was thinking he would have a good shot at LF if Stanfield moves to Center. We could use another lefty hitter. MB is a long ways from home to ride the bench. Wish him well.
I think his family moved to Florida after he graduated, but the point is anyways with Peirce in RF, Stanfield in CF and the addition of Maners, I think he wanted a spot with more playing time after what happened last year with his playing time.

Also, Bailey Horn just got claimed by the Boston Red Sox, so there's Garrett Cooper and Horn on the 40 man roster, and Richard Fitts, Hayden Mullins and Tyler Miller with the minor league system for the Red Sox.
