Being an Auburn fan is so so hard.
Yeah, it's literally like that SpongeBob meme where Squidward is looking out of his window as the two people he hates the most are having the time of their lives...

Troxel caught some work that play.
-
Robbie obviously has the talent. Just gotta give him time in the pocket...and to grow lol.
-
Again, I understand the Deion Sanders love on here. He'd be a slam dunk hire due to his immense charisma, which leads to great recruiting and is an additional draw for experienced assistants, but there's no way he comes to Auburn.
I don't think the higher-ups send him an offer, nor do I think he'd accept anything other than FSU. Hell, that's his alma mater, as well as a much easier path to success.

Robbie needs to be converted to a WR...or an RB. Guy is inaccurate and doesn't have a majority of the tools that a decent quarterback should have.
If Geriner wasn't a freshman and if the line was a tad bit better, I'd probably start him.

DB didn't locate the ball lol smh

Alright, I apologize. I was wrong as hell. 3-9 or 2-10 it is...

Mason >>> Schmedding
That's obvious. Mason is one of the best defensive coaches in the nation.

At least 4-8. I'm still of the opinion that we can get 6 wins.
If Harsin goes 6-6 and turns the recruiting class around, he might be given another year.
-
I'm honestly not sure where you guys are seeing a win against LSU. They look like a middle of the pack SEC team, much better than Mizzou actually. I see that game going 31-10 in their favor.

Who led Indiana 24-13 after 3 quarters and lost in OT. If they get up 11 on us in the 2nd half, we’re not coming back…on anyone.
You've got a point and I can't really give a rebuttal lol.

I think it’s 4-8 with wins against Mizzou and WKU.
That was my original prediction, but based off of how Robbie plays Saturday, it could be anywhere from 3-9 to 5-7 at the absolute best.
If his running ability is able to mitigate the incompetence on the O-line, maybe we can squeak out a 2nd win against another SEC team. Maaaaybeeeee lol.

Who’s the 3rd win against?
Gotta be Western Kentucky.

Well, this is it. If Robby can't make this team work with his ability as a scrambler, we're almost guaranteed to go 3-9.
Get well, TJ.

So I have to disagree. Anyone saying TJ does not look any better. I completely disagree. He has most definitely improved. I think the issue is he had a LONG way to go before he was ready to be a starter in this league (if ever) and yet CBH thinks he is the best option we have. That is where the problem lies.
He has improved on his accuracy. He has improved on his Pocket awareness. He has been much better at stepping up into the pocket as opposed to last year just being a statue. He still makes some bone headed throws sometimes that lead to turnovers.
TJ can start on an SEC team, but he'd need receivers that actually knew how to create space, and a line that could block for more than 2 seconds.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Finley were to be drafted as an experiment. He's a big ass QB with a big arm. Have him in the cut improving for a few years and you might have a capable 2nd-string Quarterback.

Really though, Wait till the end of the season. If Harsin and the team can pull things together and somehow get a 8-9 win season out of this mess then fine, lets continue with what we've got and go from there.
The worst situation imaginable would be for us to limp to another 6 or less win season, bring in a low rated/small recruiting class that yet again doesn't address our needs and still keep Harsin as a lame duck and then just prolong the inevitable another year and lead to another lost recruiting cycle.
Fam, the only good unit on the team are the Running Backs. It'd be a gift from God if we pulled off 6 wins.

Name ONE THING Harsin has improved related to Auburn’s program since he arrived in Auburn at the end of 2020. Just one thing. Anything.
Orange Facemasks? Did he do even that for the program?

He'll survive this week. I personally think he should be gone mid-season to make way for the next coach, but I'm not tripping if he lasts the season.
Now, if Mizzou comes to town and we get ROCKED say, 31-3, then he probably isn't let back on the team bus, and that isn't hyperbole. I wouldn't be surprised if, during the broadcast, an ESPN report stating "Auburn has fired Head Coach, Brian Harsin..." appeared at the bottom of the screen.

He can recruit. That’s what AU needs . Create reasons to come to AU. Prime would do that
There's no way on God's green earth than Deion Sanders would come to Auburn. Florida State? Almost definitely if they offered him the job. Why would he throw away everything that he's built at JSU, including his rep, to coach at a school with hard-headed boosters, a notoriously short tolerance for losses (that are sure to come because we're gonna have to rebuild for 2-3 seasons), and a fan base that has abnormally unrealistic expectations. He doesn't even have any history here.
For his sake, I would hope that he'd decline the job.

You gotta go with Ashford for the simple fact that he's extremely mobile, so he can avoid the ever-present pressure that is sure to come EVERY damn game. You're gonna have picks and fumbles regardless with TJ or Calzada, so go with the guy that can run.

Yeah, he desperately needs to work on his short-intermediate ball placement, as well as his pocket presence, but he's pretty damn good excluding those.
