eagle76 1
For 3 days all I have read is about the uat offensive line woes and the fact that they had to replace a senior center with a backup. They claim that this was as big a blow to them as losing Prothro. Didn't we lose our starting cennter in the Ga game and our center (Palmer) got his first start against uat. Question to our uat friends -- If part of our game plan was to attack/pressure/confuse the uat center, then why did they not do the same to our center?? McWeagle 4
we were/are actually on our third center. at the beginning of the season, it was between joe cope and stephen ross. ross won the job, but then he got hurt (again), so cope got the nod. he stayed there until late in the UGA game when he got hurt. palmer (our third stringer at the beginning of the season) came in, and obviously hasn't done too bad of a job since. DKW 86 7,426
Please remember that we also had McClover out for almost the entire season with a groin and then an ankle injury. We lost Groves for a time as well. We also had Courtney Taylor out for many weeks. We played the 2005 season with arguably our best D and best O players injured the majority of the time.
