Nay4AU 2 Posted May 16, 2006 Share Posted May 16, 2006 When Pat Dye was hired in January of 1981 he also assumed the position of athletic director. He served as athletic director from 1981 until 1992. He resigned his position in 1992 amid the Eric Ramsey controversy. Dye claimed the Ramsey situation had nothing to do with his decision.
