I guess this means Mike Ford wont be able to help the Criminal Tides recruiting rankings again this year. Scout.com has learned Mike Ford has quit the junior college team and has returned to his hometown of Sarasota, (Fla.). Ford was one of the best in the Sunshine State (2004) after rushing for 2,836 yards with 37 touchdowns. He enrolled at Hargrave Military Academy for the 2005 season after failing to make the required ACT score to enroll at the University of Alabama with his signing class. The necessary ACT score was still not reached after the year at Hargrave. Scout.com learned of his enrollment at Copiah-Lincoln for the 2006 season, but his days were short on their campus. Sources close to the Copiah-Lincoln program feel the star running back is hanging up the cleats and will not pursue any other junior college program to spend the necessary time (two years) to make it to the University of Alabama or any other collegiate football field.
