DKW 86 7,441
http://www.clearlight.com/~mhieb/WVFossils/ice_ages.html This takes a good long look at Global Warming. We are not anywhere as bad as we think we are at present. We are probably likely to have reached the warmest climate that the Earth can support right now. The idea that man-made pollution is responsible for global warming is not supported by historical fact. The period known as the Holocene Maximum is a good example-- so-named because it was the hottest period in human history. The interesting thing is this period occurred approximately 7500 to 4000 years B.P. (before present)-- long before human's invented industrial pollution. Funny, but the area of time they are reffering to as 'stable' is actually called "The Little Ice Age." Relative Contributions of Diffrent Greenhouse Gases to Warming. As you see, water vaporis THE primary contributor to all warming and cooling. CO2 is not anywhere near as important and has fluctuated over time without regard to man's activities.
