Tigermike 3,055
Are there any "small government" supporters to be found on the liberal/Democratic side of the aisle?
otterinbham 0
No. Because, idealogically, they are the heirs to FDR and LBJ, two Keynsians who believe that government is the way to cure all social ills.

Tigermike 3,055
Thanks Otter. Al, TX is there no dem you can think of? No currently elected Republican, either. The question wasn't about Republicans, but since you brought it up I will say that Jeff Sessions ® AL would be considered a small govt conservative. So to get back to the question, you can not think of a single dem who would be considered a supporter of small gov?

I don't know of any Dem or Republican that one can honestly call small government supporters. Jeff Sessions has been a relentless supporter of big government George W. Bush. In regard to Sessions, with all due respect, that is laughable. He supported the biggest social program in recent history-- Bush's budget busting prescription drug plan. Sessions is like most Republicans-- talks the talk, doesn't walk the walk. Look past the rhetoric.
