Rank the Receivers

I think it's premature to try and rank any of them at this point since I am beginning to doubt that they had quality WR coaching under Knox and Tuberville. Hawthorne was definately highly recruited out of high school and Billings has shown flashes of quality. Pierre St. Louis, according to the coaches has shown to great moves at WR. Finally, you never know how impressive Blake and Benton will be with quality coaching or has fast they will develop. They certainly have ability. I'm highly encouraged by what I hear!

Ok. Here is my predicted Top 5 Receivers next year.

1. DeAngelo Benton

2. Mario Fannin

3. Montez Billings

4. Tim Hawthorne

5. Tommy Trott.

Hell while I'm at it lets do some other positions. Top 5 Rushers.

1. Ben Tate. Look for this guy to have a breakout Senior season.

2. Onterio McCalleb. special kid. lot of speed.

3. Mario Fannin. Talented player. Will contribute a lot.

4. Kodi Burns. Although he wont start at QB look for him to have a big role for CGM.

5. Dontae Aycock. Hearing good things about this guy. Hard worker. Big physical back.

Starting QB.

1. Chris Todd...I got a good feeling this guy could be a force given a little time in the pocket.

Defensive Stars.

1.Antonio Coleman. Gotta believe Antonio will have a special year.

2.Josh Bynes. Talented, physical leader.

3.Eltoro Freeman. Will play a big role in Chizik's LB core along with Bynes.

4.Craig Stevens. Like I said before. Bo knows football. Well Chiz knows LB's and this will be a strong group if they stay healthy.

5.Niko Thorpe. Had a pretty productive freshman season. Will have a great SO season.

Darvin Adams is special. I know he is not the biggest or the fastest but he will have a huge impact on the SEC before he graduates.

Mario Fannin.......

I give.

It's sad when you're going to miss Rod Smith and Robert Dunn. Like both of those guys, but sheesh, we been half a decade without a pair of good receivers. I'm hoping that Hawthorne steps up and that Benton is as advertised.

You can't go wrong with Sony, Denon, Marantz, Onkyo and Yamaha. B)

I'm hurt that you put Sony and Denon in the same league...hurt.

Sorry. Some players, including receivers, play hurt. ;)

I can't believe you didn't mention Pioneer. They are in league with or better then those you mentioned

You are correct. They've been around a long time, but were not in my Crutchfield catalog. Rumor is they've committed to Southern Cal. ;)

:roflol:

Sorry, but is PPL still on the team? I have to clear something up.

And no one is giving Billings any love? He is our only Sr.

He was a 4 star...
