After blowing a 20-point lead on the road against LSU, Auburn understandably took a tumble in the eyes of voters.

Auburn lost to LSU, 27-23, on Saturday for its ninth straight loss in Death Valley. The aftermath left Gus Malzahn's team sitting at 21st in the latest AP and Coaches Polls released Sunday. Auburn slid 11 spots in the AP poll and was down 10 spots in the Coaches Poll from last week when Auburn ranked 11th. LSU re-entered both polls, checking in at 24th in the AP and at 25th in the Coaches.

Auburn had the biggest drop among ranked teams in the Coaches Poll.

Auburn is still the third-highest ranked SEC team in the AP poll behind Alabama and Georgia.

Auburn (5-2, 3-1 SEC) will try to regroup next weekend against an unranked Arkansas team.

AL.com will update this post when the AP poll is released.

They shouldn’t even be ranked after that kind of loss.  They were being generous keeping them in the top 25
