This player is Amari Kight that played at Thompson. You can’t fault a kid going to Bama over the s*** show that has been Auburn recruiting over the last 5 years. if Freeze feels he can help AU as a starter or quality #2, I am all for him.

He is hands down the best WR that MSU had on the roster. I have been told he really wanted to come to Auburn in high school. But I believe he was not offered by AU. He is from Eufaula. Hopefullly AU is still his dream school and we can pick up this very productive WR.

Only reading today about Garrett, but many feel he will be a HC someday. Rising star among coaches.

The difference in salary that was supposedly Kiffin's and what is being told will be Freezes salary is a good chunk that can be used to go get a hell of a staff.

Did Coach Lac ever say he wanted to be considered for the HC position? Or was it just the fans and media saying he should be HC? I could fill in and be the boss at my job and could handle it very well short term. But I don’t want to do it long term, happier in my role now with company. I make good money and have half the stress. A few more years, I would do it. But not right now. Is it remotely possible that is what Coach Lac wants, but hat is not what some fans think he wants?

I believe the NCAA had levied a penalty of 30 reduced scholarships to USC during Lanes 3 years.( Punishment for the Pete Caroll years) So yes he returned umpteen starters , but there were no quality subs on the sideline. They were using Walk ons and whatever they could find. Imagine how bad Auburn would be if 30 scholarships had been taken away. We wouldn’t beat Tuskegee.

Someone in the booth will have chart similar to this one, when they score they already know if they should go for 1 or 2. Play charts are usally grouped into plays for down and distance, Hot plays, trick plays, 2 point conversion plays, etc. at least our high school sheet was like that.

I am all for Deon or Kiffin. Pay them a good salary, but nothing stupid. But give them some very high incentive packages. Much higher than any one else gives to their coaches.

As always, when a question is asked not one person on Aufamily.com knows anything but smart azz answers, or they just quote what someone else said.

How or what is the correct way that a AD or search committee reaches out to a potential coach? Do they just contact the coaches agent and say we would like to talk if he has any interest?

What is amazing is that I posted this 3 weeks ago and not one Auburn person knows the answer to the original question.

With the support staff that Auburn has, you can reach out to every high school coach in Alabama with a letter, email, text, phone call or visit in 2 weeks time. You tell them that you are making every effort possible to get by and see them, but if I don’t get to see you, here is my cell give me a call or text anytime. That support staff can find every possible recruit in Alabama and have a list from best to least. If little old 1A Keith High school in Orville, Al has a 2* Div 2 recruit, you at least call the coach and say hey.

I have seen this week where On TO Victory had received over 10 million $$$ in the first month. For the dumb, which is me.... How is this money supposed to be used to procure top level talent. Would someone explain how that $$ is supposed to be used. I have seen comments from posters say that $$$ won't be the problem in getting Russaw and Smith from Montgomery.

Our guys have 4 months before the season starts, just think of the improvement these guys will have after that. Then about 12 games before they start SEC play. Gonna Be another Great Year!!!

Would this Israel team basically be their Olympic Team? How many of their players play in some sort of Pro League?

Does anyone know what his true height is? Recruiting sites always list him as 6'1" 330 ish.
