Possibly even UT. If they played a full SEC schedule... who knows who else could jump up and make a game out of it. The difference in some conferences is the grind it takes to make it through, not just the few top teams in the country.

Washington, ohio state, mich, penn state and i can go on. its not sec homerism, its the truth. fact is, put anyone in the sec against their schedule and you get a 14+ point and 200 yard a game boost . im not taking anything away from their team but facts are facts. it will still take a great game on both sides to win the game but i think au will play great and will win a close game

I hardly give their stats credit for beating up against crappy defenses. I'll with hold judgement on just how great their offense is until they play us. If they put up the videogame numbers, then ill eat crow. However something tells me theyd average 200+ yards less on O if they played in a big boy conference

Cokley is very good. another to watch is william lee. He is 6-9 and physical. all conf usa defense for both his freshman and soph years while also being 2nd in cusa and 8th in ncaa in blocks per game last year. this will not be a show up and win game. Bartow is not an easy place to come play. luckally for AU, Haase isn't on the other side from pearl.

I respect yours as well. As for your question, yes I did play competitive basketball for years including traveling and camps. While it is demoralizing for a team to adjust and hit the 3 so well, it would have been a lot easier on them to have guarded and at least made it a little harder for them to hit. I agree that it is an anomaly for them to have hit that many shots anyway but the effort was not strong to me. I also do agree that they should learn from it and improve. WDE

Losing isnt the issue. its that the team quit. they got into sp adversity and instead of manning up and dealing, they quit. Also to me the biggest difference between first half and second was the perimeter defense. on the first half they played the big well and still guarded the 3. still gave up some open shots but nothing like 2nd half. purdue adjusted and we did not and instead of playing with effort when down, they folded and allowd themselves to get embarrassed. if they made adjustments and played with the same effort that saw a double digit deficit go to a lead, Au would have had a legit shot at winning

Auburn lost in 09 and 11 with gm as the oc. However in 13 & 14 auburn had 2 open dates and won after both (ole miss, bama in 13... ksu & usce in 14) which makes him 5-0 as a head coach

You shouldnt feel doom and gloom. The only people projecting that feeling are ignorant and have zero inside information on whats going on. If people woke up, took the info at face value without projecting their own feelings on the situation this board would be a lot happier. 90% of the posts on this thread use the same faulty logic that the other person who they disagreed with used but cant shut up long enough to realize hes just as wrong. We may win 7 games with a hard schedule but we could come together and win it all.
