Idk how much it's been mentioned or talked about, but I hope CW looks into the tax structure and some of the insane healthcare laws that the CA legislators are trying to push thru. Anyone making bank in CA is going to be footing the bill for everyone else. No way in hell would I move to CA at this point and time.

I get it, but I doubt any college athletes are basing their decisions on taxes against their NIL deal.

On the topic at least, I think if Owen can be a more consistent version of his 2019 self, and raise his average pass defense performance a bit, dude can be all SEC contending. You'd think this would be a top 25 defense if the Mason from the last two games returned

I'm excited about our D. Hope OP stays healthy and continues to show his range

Oregon strikes me a weird. Pat Nix is obviously very close to Bo's college career. He moved from Pinson Valley down to Phenix City in Bo's second year to be closer to Auburn. Caleb Nix has completed his high school career, but only has offers from schools in the south and east, far from Oregon.

There is still a rumor out there that Pat NIx will be hired by Troy to be their OC, and Caleb will commit to Troy. But that means Pat is working on Saturdays and cannot attend Bo's games. But he can't do it from Phenix City either.

I can't see Pat Nix looking for a HS coaching job for one year in the Pacific Northwest if Bo is a one-and-done.

Given Pat Nix's "list of concerns" he brought to Harsin on multiple occasions, and the fact Bo went into the portal with a "Do Not Contact" tag, suggesting he would be the one reaching out to prospective coaches, I simply cannot believe this was exclusively Bo's decision. But who knows, perhaps the plan was for Pat to help Bo pick the best school, the be hands-off this year.

I think the connection is Dillingham. Some FSU guys thought they were getting Bo until Dilly got hired at Oregon, then Bo announces Oregon. Oregon has a 5* freshman qb, but evidently he's not ready.

What's strange is Lanning wanting Bo after man handling 3 years straight at UGA.

  4. Just don't understand why nothings happened yet. I expected him to just promote Kisseau. Last week thought maybe it was somebody coaching in a conference championship game, but now coordinators are getting hired daily.

Articles about Dilly?! Did we miss on everyone?

Wasn't our WR coach Harsin's OC at Boise? That should work well, and finding a solid WR coach will be a lot easier than finding a quality OC.

I believe this is how it will go down. JMO

I come to this board  celebrate with my fellow fans only see BS like this?!?  I just don't understand the need to only emphasize shortcomings. Everyone of our boys, including Finley, played one of the best, intense and valiant games I have not witnessed for years.

This forum has really gone downhill. I see why so many people have left this site...

I think we all realize we performed well above what was expected.  We're on a football forum, it's ok to critique

Finley gets hurt bad enough to be taken out of the game and then what do we do? I don't think Loy could have held the team together.

Are we preserving him for our super important bowl game? Bo starts vs Bama and we tell him not to run or get hurt? Dudes bigger then linebackers.. soft

Even harder to believe. If he does that he is not the principled individual I believe him to be. I realize he left Ark.St but that was to go home.

I wouldn't be sad if he left, but how do you sell to any university, team, recruit that you're a competitive coach if you leave Auburn and the SEC to go to Washington after 1 year?

If you kick the XP then get lucky and score again if you fail the two then it's game over. The way it was executed the staff left themselves time in the clock to come up with a game plan in case you fail the two.

So the gameplan is recover 2 onside kicks and have a backup qb make 2 scoring drives in 4 mins when we had 1 score the whole 2nd half? Or have our D make 2 stops, who gave up 40 unanswered, then still need 2 scores?

I'd much rather rely on a stop, scoring drive  and a 2 pt conversion.

Can y'all tell me why it would have been better to postpone the 2 point try until after we scored the next (hypothetical) TD?

At 43-35 (after the kick) it would have taken another TD to tie the score, plus a 2-point conversion. Better to try the 2-pointer when we did. That way you know what has to be done to win. Waiting to try the 2-pointer does nothing but delay the inevitable 2-point attempt, with the likelihood that there won't be time to react if the try after the next TD fails.

There was 3:37 left. Go for 2 and miss (like we did) you're now down 9 and relying on recovering 2 onside kicks and getting 2 scores.

Or you could have kicked xp and just needed a td and 2 point conversion to win and believe we had 2 timeouts.

I understand how you feel.  I was one of the biggest critics of how the previous coaching staff handled injured players.  I do believe this one is a little different in that the injury occurred in game as opposed to playing a player *recovering* from an injury and playing him too soon, al la Sean White in the 2015 UGA game.  If you recall, Sean was recovering from an injury in the Ole Miss game earlier and it was obvious from the first play he should not have been on the field and the coach played him in three total

What I have not seen is when Bo was injured.  That would play into my level of concern.  There is speculation that he was injured before half and that would explain both the our offensive play calling and the sudden confidence the Miss State defense seems to have after halftime.

I noticed him limping after he got sacked from behind. He was jogging up and down sideline after that.

Drawing a blank, but think it was the series the fg was blocked

Sometimes a coach giving the ref an ear full can help spark the players and fans.  I wasn't at the game but from what has been stated it was dead in 2nd half and lots of folks left.  For the few that were left if the jumbo tron showed Harsin giving the ref an earful on the targeting call would have at least given them something to yell about.

I think the loudest the crowd got was when ref announced the targeting. I couldn't even hear if he was ejected.

But the ref came over to Harsin after.. obviously I couldn't hear the conversation but it didn't seem like Harsin was getting too heated.
