I'm having to remind folks that Atlanta- the city of Atlanta, and not a team that used to be in Atlanta and for some reason still has that name on their shirts- won a major championship just 3 years ago. But that goes back to that fan base and their culture.

If the mutts win it all this year, I might have to leave the southeast altogether.

Have you been to the new Truist Park and the Battery? It's so much better than Turner field.

Jorje Soler could probably hit a ball out of Truist and have it land in "Atlanta".

  2. I usually do the shuttles and park at Duck Samford.  Made the mistake of doing the mall location for UGA game, never again. Over an hour to get to truck and 30 mins of that we weren't 20 yards past where we got picked up.

Buncha grumpy people on that bus.

KAuffman has started  nearly every game and has seen a ton of playing time....not following you on that part.

Haven't heard his name much and also thought he was a GT. didn't realize he was recent class until I looked it up.

Unfortunately for the secondary I only notice when they break up a pass or get beat.. hard not to focus on LOS

Speaking of which, Dreshun Miller hasn't seen much time. I see he is listed as a SR on our page and I remember he was coming here under the guise of 1 and done, but that obviously hasn't panned out. I know he gets an extra year for Covid so he can come back next year, but could he possibly RS this year and have 2 more years to play? That could be huge. @Zeek @ellitor some of you recruiting nuts probably will know this.

Yea I thought Miller was supposed to start or at least get significant reps. Thought the vandy kid would play more knowing the scheme as well

Finley would have taken 5 plus sacks today. I was ready to see DD at some point.

    But,

    1) can't pass block

    2) can't run block

    3) can't catch

    4) can't cover in zone

    5) can't rush the passer

Not gonna win many games against true top 20 opponents.

I don't know how much it matters, but I never saw Davis today throwing. 4 qbs came out early to warm up before the rest of the team before 2nd half started and it was Bo, tj, loy and the walk on. Guessing he's not ready

I don't really like that he is slowly making this thing all Boise State coaches.  We need some variety.  We blasted Malzahn for staying within his tree and never branching out, and I feel like Harsin is doing the same thing.

Concerned with this as well. It will be interesting what happens with our current OL coach Friend and TE coach Bedell, who was harsins OL coach at Boise.

At least Harsin had the balls to pull Bo. I really don't care how much Bo's mechanics have improved, his end results have not improved. He is still a mediocre (at best) SEC QB.

But I'm not putting it all on Bo. There were pre-game threads about show up, give a crap.

The entire team was off in a different world today. The defense was apparently playing in a different parallel universe than this game.

And THAT. IS. ON. HARSIN. and his coaching staff. The entire team was not focused, was not ready.

Looking forward to LSU? It is up to the coaches to make sure that doesn't happen, ever.

I supported the Harsin hire until he proved that he is not the leader I expected him to be by refusing to get vaccinated and contracting COVID and missing critical fall practice time.

I will no longer defend him.

I'm definitely not a gus busser, but I would have taken Steeles D at Penn St.. or today

  8. Think we have to go Finley moving forward. I really wanted Bo to be good, but he's just making simple things look hard at this point.

I really felt like the play calling at beginning of the game were the coaches trying to give Bo a chance to prove himself, but he obviously didnt

  9. We have 8 season tickets between my family. Any that won't be used we give away. We used to have to pick 1 game to go to as we all fought over em, but now that me and my cousins have moved away, had kids etc. Gets harder to go

Isn't every game "sold out" though and these are through secondary market?

  10. If you ask Jalen Green and Kuminga I'm sure they would say it was beneficial. Got paid, didn't have to deal with classes and projected top 5 in this year's draft.

Just depends on the player.. Then you got guys like Davion Mitchell. Back up at Auburn, star at Baylor, now projected top 10 pick. College benefited him.

NBA just needs to change it back to 18 year age limit. Basketball is one of the few sports you can skip college and go straight pro and compete.

People in front office positions in the NBA get paid lots of money to know about these things. I don't think exposure matters as much as you think if the player is elite.

Can you go to college and play your way into a lottery pick and big contract? Sure.

Completely agree, just a badly worded post on my part I guess. Wasn't trying to say the guys going G League are hindering their chances at NBA, of course the NBA teams know who the elites are, college or G League.

I guess my post was more selfish talking about fan exposure, which like you said really doesn't matter about getting into the pros.  NCAA games are more televised and the entire country is watching the tournament.  If I asked an average basketball fan who Jalen Suggs is (top 10 recruit) they'd tell me yea the guy that hit that crazy game winning 3 in the tourney vs UCLA. If I asked who Jalen Green is (top 10 recruit) they probably wouldn't know.

But yea when talking about going pro, at the end of the day whether or not the average fan knows who you are has no effect on where you're drafted.
